CNN JUST DISCOVERED THE FIRST AMENDMENT. CONVENIENT. They got tossed from the White House. So they sued. Then they put Brian Stelter on air this morning to narrate their own lawsuit like it was a national emergency. The DOJ filing last night was not complicated. Access to the White... House is a privilege, not a right. The administration says CNN, MS NOW, and Politico published sensitive security material, East Wing bunker construction, ballroom security details, Iran war reporting. Stelter’s answer? National security is just Trump’s “new favorite go-to.” You reported the bunker. Then you mocked him for calling it a security problem. That is the whole bit. The First Amendment protects your right to publish. It does not reserve you a hard pass, a desk in the West Wing, and a taxpayer-funded seat in the briefing room. Same network that once floated kicking Fox out of the press pool is now clutching pearls because their own credentials got pulled. They can still report from the sidewalk. Everyone knows that the courts are going to force the Whitehouse to return access to CNN, MSNOW and Politico. It has nothing to do with them claiming it violates the 1st Amendment. In reality it is because it violates the 5th for lack of due process. In fact the Judge that is hearing the case is the exact same Trump appointed judge that made the same finding in 2018 when Jim Acosta was stripped of his Press credentials. So this is going to turn into another MSM celebratory circle jerk.
