Stanislaus County, California officers first arrive to speak with illegal migrants in fields This part is very damning, they make it clear they’re visiting illegals throughout the area, not just here, letting them all know neither Police or Sheriff will work with ICE They even start off with the question, “Do any of you speak English?” Not to worry, they brought a translator “We are trying to get information and talk to as many people as we can.” “I know there's a lot of worry about what immigration is going to be doing. And I'm very interested in fixing that puzzle if it's fixable, because I don't think we can afford to misunderstand these problems. We have to address them, because they're going to be fatal. So they come down to issues of free will, the question of evil, and the question of dominion. This is the third one on that list. And the idea that we have dominion over the earth, because of the way it's interpreted, I think is a very destructive idea. SALATIN: Couldn't agree more. When those conquistadors came in and murdered civilizations and exploited the resources in the name of God and the queen, the crusades — the fact is that a lot has been done wrong in the name of God, or any religion for that matter. And certainly not just God. Name your divinity. Plenty has gone wrong in that. And so it is a right understanding, I think, of our role as stewards, as caretakers of something ultimately that is not ours. That is kind of a starting point across religions, across all beliefs. That is where you start. You don't start with "I'm in control." You start with "I'm a seeker and a learner. Teach me what I need to do to help." That's a very different thing than saying, "I'm going to come in and do this, this, and this, and it's going to do this, this, and this for me."

That doesn't mean there could be things happening that are attributable to these forces that we don't know about. For me, coming into the team, I wanted to be respectful of the way they've done things in the past and just to really observe and see where our strengths and where our weaknesses are and to highlight where our weaknesses are and areas that we need to work on. But I do feel that they've been responding. I think you're starting to see, hopefully, some of the impact of the work that we're doing in the background and also into next year's car. This is a car that I've had nothing to do with in terms of developing this car over the years. Hopefully, from next year, my input goes into that car, and that will be a car that I've hopefully been a part of or will have been a part of developing. But I think we've got a really great rapport. I think we're really progressing, particularly since the summer break. I think things have started to get better, and it's all just about building trust and communication.
