My way of thinking about this topic is asking do we want to solve issues with porn being a substitute for real sex in marriage the easy way or the hard way? Absolutely men have a responsibility to police themselves and not let the behavior of women dictate their own behavior - period. Along side of that we can simultaneously acknowledge the reality that men are most attracted to fit, feminine women. A husband married to a wife that isn’t fit and feminine is a husband who has a problem. The problem is he likes fit and feminine but doesn’t have access to it in his marriage. The problem is amplified if his wife is also a bitter bitch who uses sex as control mechanism. He finds himself between a rock and a hard place. He has normal male desires - normal male desires aren’t being fulfilled. Now what? Do the best he can to ignore his desires or morph them into other desires? Have an affair? Use porn as the next best substitute? All hard options. Alternatively - he can make it clear to his wife his expectations based on his normal male desires and his wife can respond to them - which is the easy way when the wife is as invested in the marriage as the husband is. I talk about this topic on this account all the time because I’m absolutely convinced if both husband and wife put the focus on the easy way - the hard way doesn’t even have to be a topic of consideration or conversation. The video I’m sharing with this post was a video Avis’s coach took last week while she was working with Avis as she’s preparing to get back into competing later this year. Avis is preparing to start competing again because she has the same attitude getting ready to turn 52 as she had in her, 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and so on. That attitude is she wants to make it as easy as she can for me to be happily married to her. I told her a long time ago what my expectations of her were that I believed would provide the most insulation to our marriage and make it as easy as possible for me to be married to her. Staying fit and feminine were a huge part of those expectations. She didn’t try to make it out as if I was asking something unreasonable of her - she didn’t say my male desires were gross and that I needed to talk to Jesus about them - she didn’t go complain to her friends what a terrible husband I was - she didn’t threaten me with divorce over my expectations or any of the other things too many wives often do to try to control their marriages. She simply said she would give it her best and throughout 3+ decades of marriage and the birthing and raising of 3 children over those decades - that is exactly what she did and continues to do. However much husbands might think they can learn from me and what I share on this account - I think wives could learn 10x more from Avis and how to make their husbands life easy instead of hard. This lady plays music with colorful language every morning since her neighbor called the cops on her wrongfully. She makes it a point just to wake up early so she won’t miss her neighbor’s walk, she turned it into her own walk of shame so that everyone knows and she won’t let it down. In college there used to be a know it all in class with us, he would always answer first and most of the time he was right. So of course that gave him an ego that he felt like he was smarter than all of us. We were discussing psychology theories and the student professor asked about a specific theory, he of course raised his hand and gave his answer looking all smug like he was so proud of himself until the student professor told him he wasn’t right. He then spent the next few moments debating her only to irritate the class and I raised my hand and gave the correct answer. I was actually surprised I was right. It turns out I was paying attention that day. His demeanor towards me changed. He wasn’t no longer arrogant towards me, it shifted into back handed compliments and a rivalry I never wanted. It culminated when we were given an hour to do a test, it consisted of one question and we were to explain a principle in a theory that was given to us on the paper by the professor. Everyone had a different question, and we knew that. During the test he said what are you doing?! He made sure it was loud enough to catch people’s attention. He claimed I was looking on his paper as to copy his answer and the professor said even if I did it didn’t matter, we didn’t have the same test anyways and that’s why she did it that way. But to wrongfully accuse me of cheating could have gotten me kicked out of class or school. What irritated me the most was that nothing happened to him. I was expecting he would at least get into trouble for it but nope. Why don’t people who do this ever actually get punished? We see this all the time. Anybody who wrongfully accuses anybody of anything should receive the punishment that that carries in my opinion.

The FBI picked him up before the Mafia could get to him, and he was later sentenced to 15 years in prison for racketeering. The final scene, where Lefty quietly prepares to leave, was loosely based on what actually happened to Sonny Black, who was played by Michael Madsen. Joseph Pistone, the FBI agent who went undercover as Donnie Brasco, explains: “Tell you how Sonny Black got killed… When it came out that I was an undercover, in the beginning the mob didn’t believe I was an FBI undercover agent. They thought the FBI had kidnapped me and was trying to turn me, because we picked it up on the wiretaps and informants. But once their lawyers told them, ‘Hey, he really is an undercover agent,’ Sonny Black gets a call. You got to go to a sit-down. So he walks into the Motion Lounge. He had a diamond ring. He takes off his diamond ring. He takes his money out of his pocket. Takes all his keys, except his car keys, puts them on the counter. He says to the bartender, ‘I just got called to a sit-down. I’m probably not coming back.’ He calls his girlfriend. And this is how we found this out. He calls his girlfriend and tells her the same thing. So what happens is that, after they find his body and everything, his girlfriend calls the FBI and she says, ‘I’d like to have a meeting with Donnie Brasco.’ And they said, ‘Why?’ She said, ‘Because I got something to tell him. Sonny wanted me to give him a message.’ So they fly her down to D.C., and myself and the other agents go out to a restaurant. She says she was holding his phone while he was performing a song, and felt a divine intervention in that moment. My neighbor always walks the dog at all hours of the day, rain or shine. She has a huge dog she can’t control, it actually walks her most of the time. This guy here has no excuse letting his dog on a leash get away, that thing is tiny. Yet he thinks it’s the man’s fault that his dog got nudged. What would you do if your neighbors dog got loose and they blamed your dog reacting to it, he needs to get his dog under control and get a life. Anyways, the neighbor with the big dog was walking her dog and it got away from her and ran into the street. Another neighbor was coming home from work and didn’t have time to react to it, she ended up hitting the dog causing a good amount of damage to her car and scuffing up the dog pretty good. The lady walking her dog had a fit of course and blamed the neighbor for hitting her dog. The neighbor retorted that she wouldn’t have hit it if the lady had it under control and isn’t run into the street. The lady ended up calling the cops, the cops came and cleared the neighbor of wrong doing. There were plenty of witnesses that saw it and we all see the dog pulling her all the time anyways. After the accident we didn’t see the lady walking her dog much anymore, her oldest son would do it most of the time to his annoyance but it was a better thing, he could control it where as his mother could not. I didn’t want to involve myself in their argument but I did tell the lady it was her fault, and that she needs to pay for the other neighbors car. Up until that point she was refusing to cooperate much. I never did ask if she paid but I have a feeling she did, the neighbor can be quite convincing when she needs to be.

What we do know: one juror is locked against the other eleven. The majority wants that person gone. The judge interviewed them one by one instead. Short of a juror saying “I don’t care about the law,” that holdout stays. Thought exercise Will Cain ran: if eleven are racing toward not guilty by reason of insanity and one still sees murder proven beyond a reasonable doubt… that one person can force a mistrial. Issues of paternity have shaped our society for generations, especially in Zimbabwe. They did not start today. I remember going to a funeral with my father in the 1990s, and as we sat around the fire the men began sharing stories. One of them has stayed with me ever since. A Zimbabwean doctor had married a nurse, and they struggled to have children. As usual, when there is no child, the blame was placed on the woman. She went to see her own doctor, who told her plainly that she was not the problem, and advised her to bring her husband for testing. The husband refused, as many Zimbabwean men tend to do. Their marriage eventually collapsed, with the man insisting he could not be the problem because he had a child with another woman before marrying the nurse. That woman, he said, was also a doctor, and he was raising that child. After the divorce, the nurse remarried another doctor, and she immediately fell pregnant. Because it was a tight medical community, the whole situation became a talking point. The ex-husband had loudly declared that his former wife was barren, yet here she was having one child after another, three in total, with her new husband. Meanwhile, the ex-husband remarried, and again there were no children. One day the ex-husband and his former wife met at a gathering. During a casual conversation, as people who once knew each other, she told him directly that he was raising a child who was not his. She told him that he had no capacity to father a child and that if he finally went for tests, he would discover the truth. She reminded him how he had insulted her and her parents, and how he had refused to listen. The revelation shook him. He went for tests, and it was confirmed that he was the problem. He had spent seventeen years looking after a child who was not his. The moral of the story is simple, and I always stress this when mentoring young people. When in doubt, check. In fact, even without doubt, check. A DNA test at birth saves you from future heartbreak. Many men are raising children who are not theirs. Some women know exactly what they are doing. Others genuinely do not know because their relationships overlapped before they settled down. In those cases, even the woman cannot be sure who the father is. So when you have a child, get a DNA test. If you ask for one and a woman becomes defensive or resistant, that is a major red flag. At that point, the test is no longer optional, it is necessary. That is the reality of life today. As they say, trust is beautiful, but DNA is confirmation. In this life we live, hope is not a strategy when it comes to your children, so test your child and protect your future, as the saying goes. I have DNA stories that I could share for a whole year. If compulsory DNA testing was demanded of all of us today, you will be shocked by what will come out. This brother in the video is now going through denial. He has been told the truth, but he is still in shock, which is why he is asking for silly things from this woman. It is hard for any man to discover that the child he believed was his belongs to another man. That is why DNA testing is a necessity and why it should be compulsory.

Signing Off 2024 with the Biggest Life Lesson I learnt this year. It was February 2024, My friend from the USA— ( yes one who had bought me a farmhouse ) —was visiting India with his family. We decided to meet for dinner. My 4-year-old son and his 3-year-old daughter hit it off instantly. They played tirelessly, running around till well past 1:30 AM. By the time we wrapped up, we were exhausted. The next day was a Sunday, and my son slept in late, waking up around 1 PM. He ate a little food and, feeling tired, asked if he could sleep some more. My wife and I didn’t think much of it. By the time he woke up again at 6 PM, something didn’t seem right. As he walked into the drawing room, I noticed he was limping. He struggled to maintain his balance, and when he tried speaking, he stammered. My heart sank. Was it an injury from the night before? Or something else? Without wasting time, we rushed to the nearest orthopedic hospital. But the doctor was in surgery, and the wait felt endless. My gut told me this wasn’t just a physical injury. I called his pediatrician, who asked us to come over immediately. At the pediatrician’s clinic, after a quick check-up, the doctor said, “This is neurological. Admit him as soon as possible.” He recommended SGVP Hospital in Ahmedabad. We rushed to SGVP, and on the way, I was trying to stay strong, preparing myself for what could be a long and difficult journey. Like any father all I wanted was for my son to be okay. That night, he was admitted. The next day, an MRI revealed he had Encephalitis - in easy words swelling in the brain. My Son was not aware what he was going through.Looking at the fridge in the Room he thought we were at some Resort for our Holidays.But soon he met with the Reality when the sister came and checked his vain and put a niddle in his tiny hand. It was tough watching this as a father. All I could think about was seeing my son walk again, talk normally, and smile like he always did. In the pediatric ward, there was a small play area. Despite his condition, I decided to take him there. I held him by the shoulders as he tried to play with the toys. While we were there, another boy caught my eye—a chubby 4-year-old with short hair. He was playing with a toy doctor’s kit. He was there with his mom and grandmother. For a moment, I envied that boy. He could walk, run, and play freely. My son, on the other hand, needed me to support him for every little step. I wondered when we would see the day he could play on his own again or will we ever see that day again ? There were Flurry of thoughts rushing through my mind as I saw the Little Boy Playing Freely. To be honest I was feeling bad for my son. Curiosity got the better of me, and I asked the boy’s grandmother why they were there. Her answer stunned me. “He’s on chemotherapy,” she said. “We come here every three months.” I was speechless. Here I was, worrying about my son’s condition, and this little boy was bravely fighting a battle much bigger than ours. In that moment, my perspective shifted completely. Just minutes ago, I had envied that boy for walking and playing, but now I realized how much strength he and his family must have to face something so challenging. That experience taught me the most important lesson of my life: gratitude and perspective. Everyone is Fighting their Own battle. No matter how tough life gets, there’s always someone facing a bigger battle. Instead of focusing on what we’ve lost, we should cherish what we have and find strength in every moment. Today, my son is fully rocevered and can play on his own , and I really hope and pray that that little boy and his family too have managed to cross the Hurdle.
