Then put together a party that can actually make a difference. This 'control the senate' gambit is a fizzer. Every seat with genuine Australians (those who naturally dislike govt, politicians, the public service, taxes, socialism, regulations, stupid laws) would be a good start.

Yesterday in South Australia, the wind stopped blowing and the state nearly ran out of power. Prices spiked to the maximum cap under law, and it would have cost someone in Adelaide nearly $5 just to boil a kettle. This is our future under the net-zero delusion, blackouts and unaffordable power bills. South Australia was meant to be the example for the rest of Australia to follow on wind and solar, how's that working out? It's time to ditch the net-zero nonsense, build coal and nuclear and bring down the cost of living for Australians.

Wind and solar have a built-in economic problem: the more of them you build, the less their electricity is worth. On sunny afternoons, solar panels all produce at the same time. Supply surges and wholesale prices collapse as a result. Then the sun sets, supply vanishes, and so prices rise. But the panels are no longer producing electricity to sell at those higher prices. Wind does the same thing. When it blows, turbines generate together and crush the price they receive. Then whenever the wind drops, supply tightens and prices rise. Renewables 'cannibalize' their own revenues. High output equals low prices. High prices means low output. The economics depend on subsidies, guaranteed contracts, curtailment payments, and backup generation. The more weather-dependent power you add, the bigger this system flaw becomes.

Why is it okay for Australian coal to be shipped to China, but not for us to use that same coal here? I'm at the Port of Gladstone with Dave Harris, One Nation candidate for Flynn. We've just seen a ship carrying Australian coal to an overseas market. We watch China build 2 new coal plants weekly using OUR coal and we are blowing ours up! Only One Nation's policy supports building more coal-fired power stations that will cut electricity costs by 50% in three years. China's renewable expansion receives endless Western applause. Its coal expansion, however, gets far less attention. At the start of 2026, China had 1,207 operating coal-fired power stations. In 2025 alone, it added 78 GW of coal capacity, the most in a decade, and began building another 83 GW, with a record 161 GW of projects either proposed or revived. China consumed more than 4.9 billion tons of coal during 2025 -- which is 56% of the global total. One country burned more coal than the rest of the world combined -- and green activists applaud it. China is building wind and solar, yes, but it is not gambling its industrial economy on intermittent power. AI is the next industrial age, but it requires colossal quantities of dependable electricity. China is securing this mainly via coal, gas and nuclear. Meanwhile, Net Zero governments are closing reliable power stations, raising energy costs and driving industry east. Nations that continue sacrificing power on the altar of Net Zero will not lead the AI revolution. They will watch the future being built elsewhere.

Well this is infuriating. Australian energy prices could be slashed overnight simply by allowing our coal fire power stations to operate at full capacity. Senator Matt Canavan says at the moment it’s only 50%. Increasing that to 90% would be the same as opening 3 new power stations. So why won’t the Albanese Govt. do it? Because they need to keep electricity prices high for the sake of the renewable industry. It’s never about the people is it.
