He is in the terminal phase of his battle with stomach cancer and spent a week in the hospital leading up to the wedding. So often people focus on what's best for them individually and not on what's best for the marriage. My son is blessed to have married into this family. My mother is in desperate need. She was diagnosed with alcoholic induced dementia, but is now in a safe group home thankfully. She is 5 months sober, and I have unfortunately ran into a roadblock disabling me from supporting her entirely financially to keep her there. Lauren Johnson is getting married in July of this year. Like most brides, she did a wedding website, hyping up people for the big day and making recommendations on places to stay near the venue. One place was the Doubletree in South Bend, IN and a Chicago union was not happy with this lodging choice and is not only harassing her, but also harassing family and friends of the bride and groom. The union harassed Lauren at work, called her personal phone several times, wanting the hotel taken off. Johnson took the hotel off of her site but the union continued their antics, sending out fake wedding invites to family and friends with a “say I don’t” to the Doubletree Hotel. The union then sent another letter to the woman, saying that they could no longer access the site as she made her website private and could they have the password. This poor bride has had to file two police reports against the Union. There is at least one other bride in the area also being harassed.

sometimes, among the members, we would jokingly asks.. ‘who among us will get married first?’ ‘who will we end up marrying?’ but i still can’t believe the day has come where i’m standing here giving a wedding speech. when i first saw bomi during her wedding dress fitting, so many emotions i couldn’t even describe came over me. i met bomi when we were 18, wearing school uniforms, and for the past fifteen years, like close friends and like sisters, we’ve gone through so many things together and shared countless emotions. there were so many days where we cried and laughed together while chasing the same dream, and now, we’ve become adults. seeing bomi build a family with someone she truly loves felt so fascinating to me, and at the same time, i thought bomi’s brave choice was incredibly admirable. since she was young, bomi has always brightened the people around her with her cheerful energy. so now, i hope bomi can live while focusing a little more on her own life and her own happiness too. to bomi, who gave her very best for our team for 15 years, i sincerely congratulate and bless this new happiness that has come into your life. now, besides us members, bomi has gained another lifelong person who will always be on her side. so i hope you live happier than anyone else, and have lots of fun together.
