Codex Extension in Cursor is BY FAR the best implementation of Codex. Can't believe everyone is sleeping on this. Codex CLI and GPT5 in Cursor are unusable in comparison. Codex on one half of the screen and Claude Code on the other.

IDE integration is mostly a context problem files, diffs and cursor position are the real product — the model was already capable of generating code

JetBrains IDEs are also IDE!!! Please include them. I really want to use Codex integrated with JetBrains IDEs.

Codex CLI feels very basic. It can’t read images, navigate through files and folders, or even create new folders. It needs more privileges, greater robustness, and full access to PCs and software to be truly effective. Compared to that, #Auggie CLI /@augmentcode is far far ahead
