Utah State 6’4 Guard MJ Collins has been one of the most underappreciated players in college basketball this season. For the season Collins is averaging 21/3/2 on 57/48/86 splits while being a major reason for Utah State’s 14-1 start . Collins’s mix of shooting and finishing efficiency at 6’4 has helped him be one of the most efficient scorers in college basketball this season. He’s shooting 72% on floaters and at the rim, along with 48% from three on 6 attempts a game. D2 6’8 Sophomore Dillon Claussen has been the most impressive player in D2 basketball so far this season. Through his first 2 games Claussen is averaging 23/12/3 while shooting 73% from the field and has helped Washburn get a 2-0 start while also getting a big win against #3 ranked Dallas Baptist. Claussen’s mix of athleticism, finishing, defense, and passing for his size and age makes him an extremely valuable player and he’s showcased that this season so far.
