This backlash follows claims that the self-proclaimed “Mkurugenzi” apparently set up the scene as an act of revenge after Sarah Hassan reportedly turned down his romantic advances. Mutua was quoted ostensibly admitting to this during a recent appearance on a local podcast.

Yesterday I spoke on the family farms debate - and there were some fantastic speeches throughout the day. Many were quite moving and angry. My main theme referred to how aloof the government seems - they don't know that farmers are working people. And by the way, no Labour backbenchers turned up to defend the government - they always turn up. The man from the treasury looked very uncomfortable...
