Ahlam a-Taluli was a journalist and photographer from Jabalya Refugee Camp. She told us about her father that was forced out of his home and then snippers shot and killed him. She also told us about her sister that was shot and killed right Infront of her and about her brother that went out to try and get food due to the horrific hunger and they had lost track of him since. In December, she sent us video footage from inside the Indonesian Hospital. It was the last we heard from her. Ahlam was 33 when she died. On 13 January 2025, Ahlam was killed when the military bombed a building nearby>>

Bad news I’m afraid. We’ve got her into a hotel and she’s been chased out by certain people: This is the sad story of a young girl we found on the streets. She’s been put into a hotel but they have been banging on her door with knives threatening to kill her. The Liverpool Guardians have had to go and get her out and find somewhere else for her. Apparently police have been there and there has been all kinds of drama. I’ll update the full story when I find out more.
