Command & Conquer: Red Alert being booted up on a Pentium 75MHz on DOS 1996... were you there?

This makes me want to hang with my dad…. Everything he ever did, and my favorite was sitting with me and playing this game…

You blew up Einstein!!!! First mission, just use Tanya. She's all you need!

yep. It was also the first game I cracked and removed copy protection from - it encrypted a particular file if memory serves me correct. I also cracked Red Alert 2 which used a laughable anti-crack scheme called SafeDisk(?) I never sold any cracks - just cracked it for myself and a few others (not that makes it anymore less illegal)

You can still play this today. It is called OpenRA, also has a native Linux version and it's actually pretty amazing 💁🏻‍♀️

J’ai passé des heures. Et ça..🤤

It was all about the Pentiums back then. Who remembers SNES 9x running 2 year old console games faster than the real thing? A P75 is just fast enough to play a mp3 at cd quality without skipping.

I played on TEN Total Entertainment Network. Lots of good action there.

Oh bro... (AMD 100DX4 100Mhz DOS+Win95OSR2) C&C/Doom/Unreal/TES Arena/ Hexen/ Duke Nukem/ Lord Midnight 3/ Blood/ Carmageddon/ Magic Carpet...

Unit reporting. Sir.

Still play the Windows 95 version on my Win 11 PCs!👍

Man those sound effects!! Engrained into my memory. Me and my friends played this game soooo much. Fantastic game.

mf I'm still there. Brotherhood of Nod for life.

Units ready 😂

Loved playing command and conquer. Reminded me of Dune on the commodore Amiga.

Was a classic and one of the most fun games that I’ve played even with today’s titles

Yes

Those were the times

I was 11. This was me.

mission accomplished!

Nostalgia 🥹🔥

Classic!

I used to play that in my pentium II 266 MHz 32 MB RAM computer

Best times

Old school 🏫

At least I have Job - Building

What’s the mission sir?

yes, and your copy is missing the cd audio tracks

Yes but I was more into age of empires.

We even had those speakers!

I was there!

I play this saga every weekend...
