Trump does have an odd way of telegraphing his plans while simultaneously denying those plans, or making a joke out of it.

Some of us have been warning about this for a decade. I pray the press more generally stops pretending the problem away. Given what’s happening at WaPo, there’s not a lot to be hopeful for on that front.

I believe him and I am here in Australia and hoping it's not too late. They will do anything and everything to retain power (they blatantly say it) and it will have catastrophic effects globally.

As per CNN poll, all demographics want voter ID by upwards of 80%. There is and has been election interference in our country for many years, Trump's stance is nothing new. Hillary claimed the election was stolen in 2016. Remember?

I get it, while also recognizing that Trump lies and bluffs and "TACOs" all the time. He's intentionally unpredictable. I think he's trolling people with occasional mention of "Trump 2028". But that doesn't mean he isn't wild-eyed and dangerous regarding elections, with the "nationalizing" stuff, with Bannon's comments, etc. We do indeed live in a dangerous time. I think many Trump voters will sit on their hands this November and it will be a big day for Dems even though they do not offer any positive vision of anything. If the Dems were a party of decent politicians with decent ideas, Trump wouldn't have won to begin with. They're still not. But not being Trump will be enough. Republicans' hopes that they'll do fine in the midterms because the Democratic Party polls worse than the Republican Party will be dashed. Republicans have never done well during non-presidential-year elections during the Trump era. This one will likely be worse than usual. Way too soon to say about 2028 but at the moment you'd have to give the edge to Dems (although if they nominate Gavin Newsome that will help Republican chances a lot.) I don't think the real problem is that Trump might try to run again in 2028. More thoughts here:

Marco Rubio, himself, posted how Trump was sued by the govenment for using illegal workers on the Trump Tower project. And had to pay a huge fine. He is now being sued by 8,000+ vendors for nonpayment. Does any of this matter to you?
