📌Commonwealth v Lindsay Clancy This testimony from Dr. Jennifer Tufts is exactly why I keep saying we have to look at the WHOLE picture. This was Lindsay’s psychiatrist—the person responsible for evaluating her mental health, her symptoms, her medications and how she was responding to them. Yet listening to... this testimony, there are things she didn’t document, things she couldn’t remember, and information Lindsay reportedly shared with Patrick or others that apparently never made it into her psychiatrist’s understanding of what was happening. Mental illness isn’t something you can always see from the chest up on a telehealth screen. Someone can look composed while their mind is completely unraveling. Three beautiful children, Cora, Dawson and Callan, lost their lives. Nothing changes that tragedy. If this or any doctor would have suggested , “let’s admit you and eliminate some of your medications SAFELY under observation” , perhaps we would not be here today. The lack of humanity and empathy in her treatment is stunning

The fact that she is so defensive and hostile demonstrates that she clearly knows she did not treat this patient appropriately and was out of her league. Rather than being defensive she should learn something in an effort to do better with the next patient.

SSRI'S and more need constant monitoring for side effects, side effects like thoughts of self-harm, hallucinations, etc. Unfortunately, many Dr's/licw/np's only monitor every 30 days. Psychiatric care is failing so many and the reliance on meds is disturbing. Time for Reform

This woman, Dr. Jennifer Tufts, had LITERALLY just been board certified on September 12, 2022 (just 3 days before her first visit with Lindsay Clancy). This woman, Dr. Jennifer Tufts, had NEVER met Lindsay Clancy in person before August 7, 2026 (ALMOST 4 YEARS LATER) This woman, Dr. Jennifer Tufts was falsely advertising her “interests” as areas of expertise This woman, Dr. Jennifer Tufts has never used the “Edinburgh Scale” (which is a scale that rates levels of depressing and the severity of the symptoms) This woman, Dr. Jennifer Tufts picked and chose what to document in detail in her notes, other wise a good ol’ check of the box is a-okay for her This woman, Dr. Jennifer Tufts prescribes medicines and controlled substances to the mentally unwell in our society This woman, Dr. Jennifer Tufts claimed under oath that she “didn’t know why Lindsay came in to see her” This woman, Dr. Jennifer Tufts did her job, sure, TO THE BARE MINIMUM.. and for that she absolutely IS NEGLIGENT HERE! Have you listened to this Testimony by Pastor Anwinli Ojeikere of the Winlos . How few years ago she was all over preaching while pregnant when the time came for her to give birth ,she lost the baby and she was still in the hospital talking to God about her frustrations and a person call her requesting for prayers because the person was battling addiction and God instructed her to pray for the person ..and later the person shared a testimony that he was set free from that addiction that day . Pastor Ojeikere finishes by saying anytime you give up ,you make a generation loose . Please don't give up .

📌I’m rewatching Patrick Clancy’s testimony, and something hit me before he even really began. The moment Patrick was called to the stand, the camera focused on Lindsay. I know we can’t truly know what someone is thinking just by looking at their face, but to me, I saw love. I saw regret. I saw recognition of the unimaginable pain she knows she caused this man. Patrick wasn’t just her husband sitting across that courtroom. He was the father of Cora, Dawson and Callan. The man she built a home, a family and a future with. The man who lost all three of his children and, in so many ways, lost his wife and the life they had planned in the same horrific moment. Watching Lindsay look at him, I don’t see someone untouched by what happened. I see a woman looking at someone she loved and confronting the devastation left behind by the worst moment of their lives. That doesn’t erase what happened to those three beautiful children. Nothing ever could. But compassion and accountability do not have to be mutually exclusive. ❤️

Their father, Patrick, returned home to find his children, ages 5, 3, and 8 months, dead in the basement. Their mother, Lindsay Clancy, is now on trial for their murders after surviving a suicide attempt that left her paralyzed. Clancy’s defense argues she was suffering from postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis, medication-related side effects, insomnia, and hallucinations. Prosecutors argue she acted deliberately, choosing a time when her husband was away to kill the children. The case has sparked an explosive online divide. A GoFundMe for Clancy’s parents has raised more than $800,000, with supporters framing her as a victim of a broken mental-health system. But support for her parents does not erase what happened to three innocent children. Two realities can exist at once: Lindsay Clancy may have been severely ill, overmedicated, or suffering from psychosis. But that does not make her a hero or remove the need for accountability. Could medications have played a role? And what does the case reveal about the broader debate over SSRIs, psychiatric drugs, and violent behavior? Mel joins me to break it down.

When it comes to the Lindsay Clancy case, if we are going to say, “It was just the medication or the psychosis,” think about the strength, resolve, persistence, and callousness it took for Lindsay to strangle all three of her children. No matter what you think caused this, those three children are the primary victims. But feminists on TikTok don’t seem to think that. It can be true to say Lindsay was failed in a variety of ways, but at the end of the day, she methodically killed her children. We can’t say for certain that psychosis caused this. People who commit horrific crimes probably fall somewhere on a spectrum of psychosis. But if we say that no one could have done something like this without being insane, then no one is going to prison for anything. If we negate justice because of someone’s mental health diagnosis in every case, then we have no justice system.

I was wrong about Lindsay Clancy. Here’s why I changed my mind. She was never diagnosed with postpartum depression or psychosis. She was not on 13 medications at once. She was not “hearing voices.” She was not abandoned by her family. She was diagnosed with a mood disorder - never psychosis - and went to a variety of doctors who all prescribed different medications, which she took unreliably and not simultaneously. She only heard a voice one time - and that was right before she killed her kids. Extremely atypical for psychosis. She carefully planned her children’s murders down to the minute. She researched the distance of a restaurant she’d ask Patrick to go to. Added on a last-minute errand before he left. Calmly answered his phone call in the middle of her crime. Brought her children down to the basement one by one, overpowering their resistance and killing them slowly. It does seem like she had support from her family. She may have still been overwhelmed, but it’s not true that all of her cries for help went unanswered. I originally placed too much blame on the many SSRIs she was prescribed. For years on my show, I’ve talked to health professionals who have been warning about the violence-inducing effects of these drugs, and I thought Lindsay’s case may be an example of that reality. Is it still possible these SSRIs had a negative effect? Absolutely. But the case that these drove her into a psychotic episode is weak. This evidence continues to reveal, in my opinion, that Lindsay Clancy methodically murdered her children and she was fully aware of what she was doing.

This person recorded this woman who was struggling with her children. The children wanted to get a bunch of unnecessary items while she was out. Whether she can afford it or not isn’t the same as when she said she doesn’t have money for it. Maybe she’s on a budget and while she could pay for it , she doesn’t want to waste her money on trivial things when there is more important things she could be paying for. It’s ok to say no to your kids, do you think the person recording was trying to shame her assuming she was broke?

Lindsay Clancy has never said anything other than that she was the one who took the lives of her sweet babies. Patrick Clancy lost everything in one horrific moment—his children, the family and life he knew, and in many ways, Lindsay too. Yet through unimaginable grief, Patrick has continued to stand by his belief that Lindsay became severely mentally ill. People can have different opinions about Lindsay, her mental state, the evidence, and this case. But the conspiracy theories claiming Patrick harmed his children and then tried to throw Lindsay out a window need to stop unless there is actual evidence to support them. Please stick to the facts and leave that poor man alone. Patrick has already endured a level of loss most of us cannot comprehend. He is trying to rebuild some kind of life and find whatever healing is possible after losing his entire family as he knew it. Dragging him into unsupported theories doesn’t uncover the truth—it only adds more pain to a man who is already carrying enough.
