The lighting looks much better. Looking forward to play it in handheld mode

Am I the only one seeing all of these comparisons and think the old one looks better? More fitting for the game's style.

The Witcher 3 really said “I’m not done aging yet.” Eleven years later and Geralt’s world is getting a glow-up that makes you want to start a 100-hour journey all over again. Tomorrow can’t come fast enough.

People get a free remastered better than most paid remasters and still find a way to complain, is mind blowing

The 2022 version has such rich darks and different contrasts. Why does the remaster lack contrast and depth? Yes, textures are better, but it looks flat and slightly washed out to me...

For me the differences on screen aren't huge. Maybe the biggest ones are the camera position and the faces. camera became a little bit further back. I see they added dynamic shadows because of the skies but even in this video, we observed black artifacts on the roof.

why is the new one brighter

Everything looks good but why do the shadows feel a little off in the remaster. I feel like there is no depth to the shadows. I might change my mind when I get my hands on it but through the videos that's the only glaring thing that's offputting to me a little bit

It looks worse

Remastered looks so much more detailed and crisp. Not only textures but they have also recreated shaders and updated character models. Truly amazing work.

Wow. The skin looks so much better. Less videogamey. Very important for dialog heavy game like this. I wonder if it is path tracing exclusive

this is a nvidia scam btw, cdpr did this twice now, sells you a game that runs perfectly on your gpu, then updates it with nvidia slop now your gpu can't run the game at max or even similar setting as before, and it's hard to downgrade since it's a "free game update".

What’s performance like?

bro all theyre doing is adding a reshade and calling it a remaster... holy shit LOL

The original looks more contrasty with darker shadows and blacker blacks, but the remaster looks more saturated, and the environment and scenes have more colour in them. It's an interesting change up of the visuals for sure, I'm really keen to dive in when it comes out.

Old one looks much better wtfff

Why do I like the old version better? And the new one, especially with that zoom effect in combat, looks like a mobile RPG.

Did they just increase the brightness? 😭

@DrissCrixus

Totally useless and bad work (ridiculous hardware specs), valuable time gone forever...

The Remaster looks 🔥🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍😍😍

Look exactly the same

New one is so much brighter lighting looks worse somehow. Sure everything else is better for sure.

How's the performance?

They made the game 10x more performance heavy while looking much worse. then sucked all the soul out of the art style and called it a day

God damn it looks good.

"Same picture" but somehow worse? Path tracing was/is horrible.

So much more realistic and grounded with thar hint of fantasy, perfect for the witcher

Looks the same. LOL

hmmm, I feel like faces look much better, but I feel like shadows and lighting look better in the complete edition.

From what I’ve seen so far, the remaster is very heavy on the graphics. I’m still dropping DLSS 5 on top of this to make it look better. I just hope I still have some FPS left to play it with, though.

With mods on console too, mmhhh delicious mods🤠

i thought it was releasing tomorrow
