We need to protect America’s food supply and our critical infrastructure to protect the American homeland. As Governor of South Dakota, I drew a line in the sand to make sure that evil foreign governments like the Chinese Communist Party would never control our precious farmland. As Secretary of Homeland Security, I will work with USDA to protect our farmland from foreign threats and safeguard the critical infrastructure that makes farming possible. Together, we will make our agricultural supply chain more resilient and secure the American food supply.

6 SMUGGLING VESSELS APPREHENDED Since our southern border is more secure than ever before, cartels are being forced to try to smuggle through our nation’s maritime waters. This past weekend, DHS law enforcement interdicted six suspected maritime smuggling vessels and apprehended 82 migrants off the coast of California. Our work to keep our nation safe never ends.
