$AMD will become a multi-trillion dollar company. The AI boom is no longer just about GPUs. In early AI data centers, the CPU-to-GPU ratio was around 1:8. Now it’s moving closer to 1:1 because agentic AI requires dramatically more CPU compute. Lisa Su: “Based on the demand signals we are seeing today and the structural increase in CPU compute requirements driven by agentic AI, we now expect the server CPU TAM to grow at greater than 35% annually, reaching over $120 billion by 2030.” Add to that the 6GW AI infrastructure deals with $META and OpenAI, plus deep collaboration on multiple future chip generations, and it becomes clear why $AMD is positioned to compound for years. I’m not chasing $AMD here after a +110% move in just over a month. But the long-term story remains intact.

Kevin Warsh's view is clear: AI will eventually force interest rates lower because it will be highly deflationary. "AI is going to make almost everything cost less. We're at the front end of a productivity boom." The problem is that today's economy is telling a different story. Inflation is at 4.2%, its highest level in three years. Tensions with Iran continue to threaten oil supplies. The labor market remains strong. AI may be deflationary in the long run, but the Fed has to deal with today's inflation first. I don't expect a single rate cut before the end of 2026.

Real-time models require local compute inside the device, and these chips have nothing to do with the GPUs running in data centers. Modern DRAM is based on a brilliant design from IBM. But, we're still paying for a latency penalty that's existed since the 60s! In this video, I'm introducing my research project (Tailslayer) that immensely reduces p99.99 latency on traditional RAM! By implementing a hedged read strategy taking advantage of (undocumented!) channel scrambling offsets, I've gotten as much as 15x reductions in tail latency. The technique works across Intel, AMD, Graviton, DDR4, DDR5, x86, ARM, you name it. Check out the C++ lib I wrote, watch the video, and try it yourself!
