Based on my very good relationship with Kim Jong Un, of North Korea, I am not happy with the fact that the United States has, long ago, agreed to participate in Joint Military Exercises with South Korea. These exercises are not only costly, with much of these costs paid for by the United States of America (as usual!), but send a signal that is totally inappropriate and hostile, to a Country that, as long as Donald J. Trump has been President, has been unthreatening and respectful. I decided on an open letter and there are two reasons I can give for this. In the first place, you have been very open about your questions. This has been a matter of public discussion, and so I don’t feel it is out of place to address them in this way. Second, you are our president, and in this role you are in many ways our representative. I believe there are many Americans who have exactly the same questions that you do. Over the past few days, information has come to light that has left me and my family shocked, confused, hurt, and struggling to process everything. There is currently an investigation involving my mother, and as more details have emerged, it has become clear that neither I nor any other members of my family were involved in, aware of, or connected to any actions that may have taken place. I want to be very clear: my family and I did not participate in, plan, encourage, or benefit from any of this. Like many of you, we believed we were dealing with a genuine emergency and acted based on the information we had at the time. We were worried, emotionally distressed, and doing everything we could to help someone we love. This situation has been heartbreaking for us. Not only have we had to deal with the emotional impact of everything that has happened, but we have also had to face public scrutiny, accusations, and judgment for something we had absolutely no involvement in. While we understand that people are upset and have questions, we kindly ask that innocent family members not be blamed for actions that were not theirs. Update for everyone who saw my last post regarding C$@M on 𝕏: I’ve received detailed, personal communications directly from support (not an auto-response) and at their request will be sharing all of the additional information I have with them. I was also notified that my video violated TOS for the screenshot I included, so I’ve deleted that post and am including the original video again here with the screenshot removed. Thank you so much for everyone who has been reaching out and sharing this info to help emphasize the seriousness of the situation and how widespread it is. And a HUGE thank you to some of the accounts that have been helping behind the scenes by directing me to the right people to talk to. I’ve bookmarked, taken screenshots and made notes of additional information that has been sent my way to include in communications with the team at 𝕏. I’ll continue to do everything I can on my end.
