I grew up learning about “food deserts” in bad areas of Chicago only to find out that stores just flee this nonsense. No one to blame but themselves and the people they keep voting into office.

About 8 or 10 years ago Walmart announced they were opening some stores in certain hoods in Chicago. I thought, this isn't going to end well. They are now all closed. Imagine me, a high school dropout smarter than the execs at Walmart.

The cart he stole outside is worth way more than 8 packs of TP.

Given the extremely high quality camera systems most Walgreens have, that box is probably the best theft deterrent system they have.
