Congress should embark on an Article I project—a bold reassertion of its constitutional primacy.

Close down gitmo and end the patriot act and warrantless surveillance and civil forfeiture. Otherwise it’s too easy to look at this whole mess and be cynical. There isn’t that much difference between the last 30 years of executive branch overreach.

Nah, if congress did its job we wouldn't have any of these issues in the first place. You don't get to import a third world voter base anymore buddy.

Primary this rat!

Congress absolutely needs to reclaim its Article I authority—starting by torching the Pakistan Democracy Act (H.R. 2311) and every dollar wasted on foreign democracy theater. While bureaucrats shovel $601M into refugee resettlement, veterans sleep on streets and fentanyl floods our borders. The Founders gave Congress the purse strings for a reason: to fund American priorities, not globalist pet projects. Real Article I leadership means defunding every agency that can’t pass a clean audit, slashing foreign aid by 50%, and forcing every committee chair to justify their budget line by line. No more blank checks for Ukraine, no more nation-building in Kabul 2.0, and no more pretending the border crisis isn’t a national emergency. If they want constitutional primacy, start acting like it—cut the waste, secure the homeland, and put taxpayers first. The receipts on waste, misplaced priorities, and what real congressional accountability should look like are all here:
