It’s worse treatment than we give puppies and kittens, but when it’s for “inclusion,” it’s celebrated. Adoption is one thing - it redeems a broken situation. But surrogacy is another - it intentionally creates the broken situation. Babies’ needs will always matter more than adults’ wants.

Deciding whether to accept or destroy a child you created based on their sex is simply eugenics. It’s wrong to leave one child indefinitely frozen because they are the wrong sex — or worse, to destroy that “extra embryo.” This is one of the many ethical problems with IVF and surrogacy. Infertility can be incredibly painful, but IVF and surrogacy put the wants of parents above the rights and needs of children. Children deserve better.

A woman was legally required to kill her baby in the third trimester because the “commissioning parents” for the surrogacy demanded it, and threatened a lawsuit. The baby was missing two fingers, so the people purchasing this precious child demanded it be aborted, per their contract. This is eugenics. It’s murder. It’s a baby trade, and it needs to be criminalized.

This child has a condition where her head weighs up to 7lbs. It’s obviously a hindrance and the mother has to be very careful. A lot of people think you shouldn’t put a kid through this but what if the child is mostly happy and ok. Where do you draw the line?! It is called a hydrocephalus baby. But then she goes on to argue that after divorce, dad just becomes “mom and dad,” and mom becomes “mom and dad.” But that’s the problem - no one can replace the other parent. A mother can be an incredible mom, but she cannot be a father. A father can be an incredible dad, but he cannot be a mother. Divorce leaves a real loss in a child’s life, and pretending otherwise doesn’t make that loss disappear. It’s sad to see the obvious cope at the end of this clip.
