Deep Dive on the art: Constellations is inspired by the collaborative voting process for two different @opepenedition sets now in the permanent collection ZOOPEPEN + ONPEPE. For these sets collaborators and creators of the art used a community @figma file to cast votes on art that made it into the permanent collection.

Over time, the colored dots gradually filled the page, reflecting the participants' votes in beautiful, organic constellation patterns. The more votes cast, the greater the consensus—and the more concentrated the artwork became.

Using p5.js, ChatGPT, and Claude, I wrote code that creates generative animated dot patterns, one by one—mirroring the manual voting process of participants around the world at different moments in time.

The color palette is pulled directly from the @checksvv contract giving a huge nod to @visualizevalue and the greater @opepenedition community.

I built Constellations because I believe some art deserves to be truly permanent. Inspired by the voting mechanics that govern OPEPEN, each piece maps democratic participation onto cosmic formations. By making it fully on-chain generative art, I'm ensuring these constellations will shine for as long as Ethereum exists—no servers to fail, no links to break, just pure mathematical beauty preserved in the blockchain forever.
