1) Timechain is a mind-blowing artifact of Bitcoin history. In his code, Satoshi called Bitcoin “the timechain”, not to be confused with the marketing jargon “the blockchain” seen everywhere these days. Timechain is the essence of how Bitcoin works. Bitcoin & time are synonymous

2) And time has long been a central concept for philosophers, artists, musicians, and filmmakers. And, while time is often viewed as a stressor — something we don't have enough of in modern life — Hourglass is an exuberant celebration of time — past, present, and future.

3) So how do we capture time? We hope to do it with Timechain, an eternally evolving, living generative artwork centered on time.

4) Timechain are pieces of living art that feature an animated, ever-changing hourglass as its focal point. Time is continuous yet we measure time in fractions: minutes, hours, etc. The sand continues to fall through the hourglass, but the shadow of the hourglass remains still.

5) While the background sine waves of the hourglass are usually still, at special times — like angel number moments — they burst into a polychromatic dance. With the background waves moving in chaotic directions, it represents a point where different time dimensions intersect.

6) Timechain differs from other works in that it allows you to enter an exact date and time in the past to see how the art looked at the time. In a sense — you're time-traveling with your art.

7) The hourglass in Timechain directs the flow of the artwork, merging technology and art to create a dynamic visual experience. From simple, elegant shapes to more complex forms, the hourglass is a testament to what can be created through the fusion of art and innovation.

8) In Timechain, the background is much more than just a static canvas — it's a visual representation of the ebb and flow of time. The number of waves presents changes based on the current time, resulting in a constantly evolving symphony of patterns and shapes.
