I agree with Getachew K Reda on this matter. Getting access to the Red Sea is not just a political gamble for the current gov’t of #Ethiopia or any future leadership—it is a must for Ethiopians. This can be done in a peaceful manner that would benefit both countries in a win-win situation. Ethiopia can’t continue to be chocked up and losing billions annually just for a mistake made by an unelected body. 🇪🇹 🤝 🇪🇷 🕊️

I deeply regret the times I have unintentionally belittled or diminished Ethiopia by drawing unfair comparisons to Eritrea. Those remarks were misguided, and I am truly sorry for any pain or frustration they caused. I commit to doing better and avoiding such mistakes moving forward. Ethiopia is a great nation with immense potential, rich history, and a bright future. It deserves to be measured against — and inspired by — the world's most successful and developed countries, such as Singapore, Dubai (UAE), Saudi Arabia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and others that have achieved extraordinary progress through vision, innovation, and strong leadership.
