Controversial Whitby councillor bashes Canadians opposed to Temporary Foreign Worker Program So, who in blue hell is Victoria Bozinovski? For starters, she’s a councillor with the Town of Whitby. She’s also supposedly a conservative. We have a recent picture of her posing with Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre. But Bozinovski... recently made headlines by stating that if you are against the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, that makes you: “xenophobic… racist… garbage…” Wow. That’s harsh! Yet, her sentiments are also inexplicable given that by supporting the Temporary Foreign Worker Program Bozinovski is going against the official policy of the Conservative Party of Canada which states: “The Temporary Foreign Workers program would be permanently abolished with a separate, standalone program for legitimately difficult-to-fill agricultural labour.” So, if Bozinovski identifies as a conservative, why would she go against Conservative Party values? Is she (ugh!) a female version of Erin O’Toole, perhaps? We would love to interview Bozinovski to get her side of the story. We tried to do so last month after a Town of Whitby Council meeting. But she literally ran away from us – and even sic’d her security guard to illegally get handsy with us. What a coward. And given her recent flip out regarding the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, that classic line from Hamlet springs to mind: “The lady doth protest too much methinks.” So, we did a little digging regarding Victoria Bozinovski. And we think we now know the real reason why she is such an ardent defender of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Which is to say, Bozinovski is a broker with Toronto-based Titan York Realty Corporation in Toronto. And one of her specialties is hospitality. Hospitality would presumably include fast-food restaurants. You know, like Tim Hortons, which absolutely adores the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Talk about a eureka moment! You see, the Temporary Foreign Worker Program works very well indeed for Bozinovski’s clients and would-be clients. Which means that the Temporary Foreign Worker Program also works very well for Bozinovski’s own financial enrichment. How sad. It would appear that Victoria Bozinovski, is putting money ahead of the party she allegedly supports. She is presumably also putting the almighty dollar ahead of her own country. Shame. For that reason, we don’t think Victoria Bozinovski is fit for office. What kind of patriot throws homegrown Canadian citizens under the bus so that multibillion foreign nationals can hire cheap foreign workers? That’s disgraceful. It might be win-win for corporations and temporary foreign workers. But it is a losing proposition for taxpaying Canadian citizens who want to work. People are not amused. A recent Abacus Data poll indicates that 44% of Canadians want to see the temporary foreign worker program scrapped given the high unemployment rate — especially among young people. And even though Canada’s biggest foodservice company is Tim Hortons — a company that loves to wrap itself in the Canadian flag — Timmy’s (which is now owned by multinational corporation Restaurant Brands International) is actively seeking temporary foreign workers rather than Canadians. Every penny counts, it would seem. Shameful. We recently visited a Tim Hortons at the corner of Lawrence Avenue and Yonge Street in north Toronto. According to the federal government’s job bank, this franchise is taking advantage of the temporary foreign workers program. One ad posted in July of this year indicated it was seeking to hire someone at a rate of $36/hour. Apparently, this store could not find a Canadian willing to work for $36/hour and therefore needed a temporary foreign worker for the position. Does anyone believe that? If you do, then we have some beachfront property for sale in Saskatchewan… The manager at this store was very evasive when we asked questions. We left our contact information hoping to speak to the franchise owner, but at time of writing, never heard back. It also appeared that the lion’s share of the staff at this Tim Hortons restaurant was from the Philippines. Our next stop was the palatial head office of Tim Hortons in downtown Toronto. Even though this company has an entire media relations team, nobody would receive us. Cowards. Are you disgusted with major companies gaming the system is such a fashion? Then kindly sign our petition at Tim Hortons may be making money hand over fist (RBI’s revenue jumped 5.4% in 2024 compared to the previous year). But it clearly has a public relations problem given its strategy of shunning Canadians. After all, when a growing number of Canadians now refer to this chain as “Singh Hortons” rather than “Tim Hortons”, that’s a problem. Meanwhile, the NHL legend the chain is named for must be rolling in his grave…

Unholy trio!💥Whitby, politicians, police, and mainstream media team up to smear Rebel News — It backfired Not one single mainstream media outlet reached out to me or anyone else at Rebel News to get our side of the story. Astute viewers of Rebel News might recall that Whitby’s day of infamy occurred on March 9th and that the catalyst was myself. By way of background, Whitby is a town of about 160,000 some 55 km east of Toronto. Rebel News was taking in a council meeting to cover a motion put forward by Coun. Chris Leahy Regional Councillor Town of Whitby regarding high-risk offenders being let loose in Durham Region without supervision. This was prompted by news of Darren Scott Ray being released on a three-day unescorted pass. He was free to come and go as he pleased in nearby Oshawa; no address was made public (presumably because Ray is entitled to privacy.) Notably, Ray is currently serving a life-sentence for first-degree murder. This monster raped, tortured, and murdered 14-year-old Darren Pippin in 1987 in Toronto. Despite being set free, he is still deemed to be a high-risk offender. Unbelievable. So it was that at the March 9th Town of Whitby (Town of Whitby, ON) council meeting, Leahy proposed the following motion: “Request for the federal government to notify municipalities when high-risk offenders are authorized for unescorted temporary absences.” While attending the council meeting, we learnt of another interesting story. Namely, at a previous council meeting, Leahy introduced a motion that would’ve prevented the Town of Whitby from awarding contracts to companies that are participating in the federal Temporary Foreign Worker Program. The liberals on council had a meltdown. Indeed, the motion was ruled out of order by Mayor Mayor Elizabeth Roy in a committee-of-the-whole meeting. Roy claimed this was based on a legal opinion indicating that the town would face “liability issues” if the motion were to go ahead. How so? Stop asking impolite questions, will you? Indeed, rookie councillor Victoria @_Bozinovski flipped her wig that the Temporary Foreign Worker Program was even raised in the first place. In an unhinged rant, she described Leahy’s motion as “garbage … xenophobic … racist”. Now, that’s harsh… After the March meeting wrapped at 11 p.m., I tried to scrum Bozinovski to find out why she felt so strongly about the Temporary Foreign Worker Program. Her response? She literally ran away and sic’d her security thug on me. Oh well, you win some, you lose some and the idea of an elected official being unaccountable is about as newsworthy as reporting that there’s salt water in the Atlantic Ocean. But when I awakened the next morning, I found that a smear campaign against myself and Rebel News had been concocted overnight. (Note: kindly watch the video interaction between Bozinovski and I in order to get full context of the smear job.) Let’s begin with the CBC: “Whitby mayor to review security measures as police investigate incident at town hall “Whitby's mayor said she will examine security measures at council chambers as police investigate an incident that happened after a meeting” From ‘Don’t threaten my safety’: Police called as Rebel News presses Whitby councillor, confronts security guard “Coun. Victoria Bozinovski said she had to retreat to the mayor's office to avoid Rebel's David Menzies at Monday-night meeting.” And from INsauga: “A line was crossed' - Rebel News reporter accused of harassing councillors in Ontario town.” Incidentally, that INsauga headline is very interesting. The journalist uses “councillors” plural. That’s odd, because the only other councillors we spoke with that night were Leahy and Steve Yamada – and they were happy to be interviewed. And unlike Bozinovski, they are not cowards who run away from questions. Again, please check out our previous reports for video evidence. But seriously, accusing an independent media reporter as an intimidating harasser for merely asking an elected representative a question? Really? Incidentally, not one single MSM outlet reached out to me or anyone else at Rebel News to get our side of the story. That’s too bad, because we would’ve shared the video evidence that would’ve destroyed Bozinovksi’s false narrative. But what’s that old saying again? Never let the facts get in the way of a good story… Another notable angle regarding the smear job: it was reported that Durham Regional Police stated that the incident is under investigation. That’s interesting. Because to date, I nor anyone else at Rebel News have received a single phone all from the Durham cop shop. In fact, I reached out to the media relations department at Durham Regional Police more than a month ago seeking clarity. The flacks didn’t even acknowledge my email. Some investigation! Bottom line: what we witnessed was a conspiracy orchestrated by politicians, the mainstream media, and law enforcement. The goal was to smear myself and Rebel News. And the screw job was built on an outrageous lies and complete fabrications. But the video evidence proves we did nothing wrong and that Bozinovski is a cowardly liar. Indeed, if the hothouse flower that is Victoria Bozinovski is too fragile to entertain an impolite question, we would argue that this person is unfit for office.

Canadian Tire facing backlash for not hiring Canadians Why is Canadian Tire NOT hiring Canadians? Not only that, but some stores are also violating the rules of the Temporary Foreign Worker program! Say it ain’t so…! When it comes to retailers, it doesn’t get any more Canadian than Canadian Tire. “Canadian” is in the company’s name, after all… And yet, it turns out the Toronto-based corporation is now hiring foreigners to work at its stores as opposed to Canadian citizens. Not only that, but one west-end Toronto franchisee was actually caught red-handed violating the rules of the Temporary Foreign Worker program! Rebel News reporter Alex Dhaliwal recently chronicled the odd case of Canadian Tire owner, Ezhil Natarajan. He was recently fined more than $100,000 by the federal government for violating the Temporary Foreign Worker program rules. Natarajan is also under provincial investigation for alleged exploitation of foreign workers. Here's the skinny: Employment and Social Development Canada found Natarajan violated the TFW program rules by not matching pay or working conditions to job offers as well as assigning workers to different roles than hired. Last year, 13 foreign workers at the Canadian Tire store located at 175 Vetiver Dr. resigned or were fired by Natarajan, alleging wage reductions and unhired job assignments. Federal data indicates that Natarajan’s store was approved to hire 34 Temporary Foreign Workers from 2022-2024. But why? Especially given the high national youth unemployment rate in Canada. It should also be noted that the overall unemployment rate in Canada is currently a jaw-dropping 7.1%. Yet it has become fashionable for certain corporations (we’re looking at you, “Singh Hortons”) to hire noncitizens. Indeed, temporary foreign workers now comprise about 1% of the entire national workforce! Sorry, but this does not compute. If Canadian citizens can’t find jobs, why is Ottawa importing noncitizens to work here? And it should also be noted that many foreign workers did not have a great experience working for Natarajan. Rowell Pailan, a former employee of Natarajan, says his wages were cut from $20 an hour to $16.55 per hour after he was demoted from supervisor to shelf stocker. Isn’t that called “bait and switch” in the retail world? Rebel News thought it would be prudent to get Natarajan’s side of the story. We also wanted to find out what Canadian Tire’s corporate had to say. As per usual, emails to Canadian Tire’s media relations department went unacknowledged. We also reached out to Natarajan’s store by phone and left a detailed message. Our call went unreturned. So it was that the other day that we decided to pay a house call to the store. Alas, we were about as welcome as skunks to a garden party. Several staffers demanded we vacate the premises, and we did. But the irony is perverse, isn’t it? Canadian Tire wraps itself in the Canadian flag. Its slogan is “Canada’s Store.” And this is no sad-sack corporation. Canadian Tire’s revenue for 2024 was more than $16 billion. Such a shame that “Canada’s Store”, based in Canada, is more than happy to sell merchandise to Canadians. But it doesn’t seem to be all that enthused about hiring Canadians… There oughta be a law…

I actually agree with much of what Rishi Sunak said. The problem is, it is Conservative politicians who are fanning the flame of division and they still retain the whip, and it is Conservative foreign policy which is driving a spear through our nation's integrity while children are bombed and being starved in Gaza. The rise of antisemitism and islamophobia are distressing and need to be reversed. We have to do better as a country, but that isn't helped by divisive Conservative politicians and poor foreign policy choices.

One in five young Canadians report being unable to find an entry-level job, and positions such as a counter worker at Tim Hortons used to give those entry-level opportunities to youth. Instead, many locations now appear dominated by temporary, foreign staff. So I went to the government's own temporary foreign worker website and did a quick search. I was shocked to find 93 Tim Hortons locations are actively advertising for temporary foreign workers. Literally at the same time their spin doctors are claiming they’re hiring Canadians. So I printed out the job postings, fired up our billboard truck, and headed to one of the foreign-staffed Tim Hortons to ask for the manager. The Tim Hortons I went to was offering $36 an hour for a restaurant manager. Their government of Canada job listing claimed that no Canadian would do the job. The Tim Hortons executive in the store told me he'd “never seen” the foreign worker ads before. Really? They're on the government TFW website. Anyone can look them up. I showed it to him live, on camera. He should tell that to the father I met outside, whose 21-year-old son can't find work. I spent nearly an hour out front talking to passersby. Not one person — not a single one — said Tim Hortons should keep hiring foreign workers over Canadians. And many of the people I spoke with were immigrants themselves. Tims, which is owned by a Brazilian hedge fund called 3G Capital, has faced growing pressure to change its hiring practices. Despite being Canada’s largest foodservice company, Tim’s has been exploiting the Temporary Foreign Worker Program to hire noncitizens. Why is a St. Catharines Tim Hortons proudly displaying a legal threat letter sent to Rebel News? We were tipped off that a Tim Hortons location in St. Catharines, Ont., had posted the legal threat letter that was sent to us on June 1. So, we paid them a visit with our big, beautiful billboard truck in tow. You may recall our recent reports regarding Tim Hortons, exposing the company for lying through its teeth at a recent presser. Tim Hortons implied they would go back to hiring Canadian citizens, which would be great news if only it were true. Alas, Tims is still making use of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program! If you check out the federal government’s job board, Tims currently has about 90 positions available under this program. Sure, Tim Hortons loves selling to Canadians. But hiring Canadians? Not so much. Tims was not amused by our coverage. And so, they decided to play hardball. The company was so infuriated that they sent Rebel News a legal letter. We were informed that Rebel News staffers are essentially persona non grata at all Canadian Tim Hortons. Yours truly was especially singled out, as Tims' legal eagle noted that I am now banned for life from going to any Tim Hortons store in Canada! We’re not making this up! Here’s an excerpt from that letter: "David Menzies, due to past behaviour, is not, for any reason, permitted access to the premises, including parking lots, landscaped areas, and drive-thrus of any Tim Hortons restaurant in Canada, any and all manufacturing and distribution facilities owned or operated by TDL across Canada and the Tim Hortons offices in Montreal, Calgary and Toronto." Overreaction much? But here’s the thing: We were tipped off that a Tim Hortons location in St. Catharines, Ont., was proudly displaying the legal threat letter that was sent to us on June 1. How bizarre! Why would they do that? Is it to further a vendetta in a most juvenile fashion? Apparently, head office sent a copy of that letter to all stores. It seems that it is up to the franchisee whether to display it. But again, what’s the ostensible policy reason? To name and shame us? To put customers on high alert so that, if they see me in the parking lot or drive-thru, they will call 9-1-1? How pathetic can you get? Well, if Tim Hortons is dropping the gloves, then so be it. We recently paid a visit to that particular St. Catharines Tims with our big, beautiful billboard truck in tow, to name and shame Tims for its lies regarding the Temporary Foreign Workers Program. As it turns out, just a few klicks away from that St. Catharines Tim Hortons restaurant is where Tim Horton himself, the man, died. Tim was killed in a single-vehicle car crash on February 21, 1974. He was a member of the Buffalo Sabres at the time, and he was driving back to Buffalo after a game against his old team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Tim's legacy lives on in the restaurant chain that bears his name. Yet, we wonder: Would he be proud of what it has become? The donuts are no longer baked from scratch. The restaurants are not clean — don’t even dare venture into the washrooms. Canadian citizens are passed over for jobs in favour of noncitizens. And now the corporate bigwigs are banning independent journalists who have the temerity to report the truth. If you check out the federal government’s job board, Tims currently has about 90 positions available under this program. Sure, Tim Hortons loves selling to Canadians. But hiring Canadians? Not so much. Tims was not amused by our coverage. And so, they decided to play hardball. The company was so infuriated that they sent Rebel News a legal letter. We were informed that Rebel News staffers are essentially persona non grata at all Canadian Tim Hortons. Yours truly was especially singled out, as Tims' legal eagle noted that I am now banned for life from going to any Tim Hortons store in Canada! We’re not making this up! Here’s an excerpt from that letter: "David Menzies, due to past behaviour, is not, for any reason, permitted access to the premises, including parking lots, landscaped areas, and drive-thrus of any Tim Hortons restaurant in Canada, any and all manufacturing and distribution facilities owned or operated by TDL across Canada and the Tim Hortons offices in Montreal, Calgary and Toronto." Overreaction much? But here’s the thing: We were tipped off that a Tim Hortons location in St. Catharines, Ont., was proudly displaying the legal threat letter that was sent to us on June 1. How bizarre! Why would they do that? Is it to further a vendetta in a most juvenile fashion? Apparently, head office sent a copy of that letter to all stores. It seems that it is up to the franchisee whether to display it. But again, what’s the ostensible policy reason? To name and shame us? To put customers on high alert so that, if they see me in the parking lot or drive-thru, they will call 9-1-1? How pathetic can you get? Well, if Tim Hortons is dropping the gloves, then so be it. We recently paid a visit to that particular St. Catharines Tims with our big, beautiful billboard truck in tow, to name and shame Tims for its lies regarding the Temporary Foreign Workers Program. As it turns out, just a few klicks away from that St. Catharines Tim Hortons restaurant is where Tim Horton himself, the man, died. Tim was killed in a single-vehicle car crash on February 21, 1974. He was a member of the Buffalo Sabres at the time, and he was driving back to Buffalo after a game against his old team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Tim's legacy lives on in the restaurant chain that bears his name. Yet, we wonder: Would he be proud of what it has become? The donuts are no longer baked from scratch. The restaurants are not clean — don’t even dare venture into the washrooms. Canadian citizens are passed over for jobs in favour of noncitizens. And now the corporate bigwigs are banning independent journalists who have the temerity to report the truth. No, Tim Horton, the man, would not be proud of what has become of Tim Hortons, the restaurant chain. In fact, we think he’s now rolling in his grave. Report by David Menzies

I’m not a US constitutional scholar but I know what a foreign-trained political enforcer operating inside a captured government looks like. And it doesn’t look like a patriot. It looks exactly like this. If Laura Loomer wants to talk FARA perhaps she should beware of the precedent she wants to set it just might come back on her.... Last I checked working for a foreign intelligence agency isn't aligned with the law of the land in the US.
