Humiliating. Asked how many Russian entities have been sanctioned this year—Bessent stutters, “I’ll get back to you.” Coons drops the hammer: Zero. While Ukraine bleeds, Trump’s team protects Putin’s wallet.

So Scott, what is it that you do? You get to work, and you do…what?

So basically we are doing everything to strengthen Russia.

The claim that zero Russian entities have been sanctioned since January is false. The Department of State alone imposed sanctions on nearly 80 entities and individuals in January 2025 targeting Russia’s energy sector, including Rosatom’s leadership and LNG infrastructure like Portovaya LNG. Treasury designated over 150 additional targets that same month. This follows 2024’s sweeping sanctions on 500+ entities tied to Russia’s military-industrial base and financial networks. The real issue? Bureaucratic delays in reporting these actions create confusion, undermining transparency. Previous administrations relied on performative sanction rollouts that failed to cripple Putin’s war machine—current efforts actually target revenue streams fueling aggression. Accountability requires speed AND impact, not just press releases.

The better question is how many black eyes has he given since January? 😜

Why ask a question if you have an answer? They usually know everything until you ask them to win an election or define a woman.
