300 million people died of smallpox until in 1977 it was erased from the planet due to the multilateral effort lead by the World Health Organization (WHO). Glad to celebrate in Geneva #WHO75 and the work of World Health Organization (WHO) protecting and promoting the human right to health. The partnership between World Health Organization (WHO) and FIFA has allowed us to promote physical activity and healthy food, including at the World Cup and many other FIFA events. We will continue to work together to strengthen the links between the global game and global health.
