@ECMWF Never before have there been so many days with suspended “Sahara dust” in Europe - it has been going on for weeks; going six weeks without seeing a clear blue sky must be a historic record. Some already see geoengineering.

@ECMWF Saharan dust at this scale cuts Mediterranean solar output 20 to 30%. MENA operators treat soiling as a baseline operational cost.

@ECMWF I thought visibility was a bit yellowish lately. Also, that MUC /VIE label combo on the map bothers me so much. Kick MUC label on the left side. Map will breathe better not to mention readability.
