The University as a Joke: My UNIABUJA UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA Experience When the Students’ Union Government of the University of Abuja, led by Comrade Yusuf Tobi Jamiu, invited me for an interactive session with students, I was skeptical. Given the recent decline in the courage and independence of students’ unions across Nigeria, I didn’t expect much. Still, I decided to give it a try. I came straight from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport to the University. An advance team already on the ground hinted that something was off; they couldn’t locate the Students’ Union President on time, and the hall reserved for the event looked deserted. Soon after, one of them informed me that the university authorities had cancelled the program. Not long after, Comrade Jamiu himself reached out to say the event would still hold. So, I headed to the university gate. There, I was stopped by campus security, who bluntly told me the management had declared my visit “unacceptable.” They claimed the Students’ Union had no permission to host me on campus. I alighted from the vehicle and sat on a dilapidated chair by the gate, refusing to leave immediately a silent protest. As I sat there, I witnessed a scene that summed up the death of our university system, a female student was barred from entering the campus for “improper dressing.” When I asked if the university bought clothes for its students, the confused security men eventually allowed her in, perhaps to avoid a scene. Moments later, Comrade Jamiu arrived to apologise, visibly helpless. I couldn’t help but wonder whether he had been elected to lead or to kneel, to represent the students or to appease the school authorities. After a brief conversation, I left saddened but not surprised. What I saw at the University of Abuja was not an institution of learning, but a graveyard of courage and ideas. Our universities are dying — not for lack of resources, but for lack of integrity, independence, and freedom. Nigerian universities are dead. What remains is the struggle to resurrect them.

Arkansas State University is a federally funded institution, and I was just told there is “nothing they can do” about a student in university housing calling me a ni**er on video. I was encouraged to accept an apology from a friend of the RA and move on. Let me be clear: no Black student in this building feels safe right now. This did not happen off campus. It did not happen online. It happened in university housing, immediately after an RA meeting, and involved private details of my housing situation being shared. The response I received minimized the harm and shifted concern toward the comfort of those involved rather than the safety of Black students. Calling me a racial slur is not a misunderstanding. It is harassment. Treating it as something to be apologized away sends a message about whose safety matters. Happy Black History Month. We are still being told to be quiet, be polite, and accept less. If you live on campus, especially if you are a student of color, you deserve to feel safe where you sleep. #LRHN

A Toronto Metropolitan University alumni says he was wrongfully arrested by GardaWorld security after guards allegedly mistook him for Canada Cop Watch. The incident began June 7 2026 after security attempted to remove several people from a public sidewalk on Gerrard Street East, despite claims the sidewalk was public property and outside their jurisdiction. The following night, Auditing Canada returned and was surrounded, handcuffed, and taken into custody by security at aprox 9:10pm on June 8 2026. He remained detained in a security office for more than 9 hours while waiting for Toronto Police. During that time, he says he was initially denied access to a washroom and was forced to urinate in a bottle before finally being allowed to use one at approximately 2:00 AM. Toronto Police did not arrive until shortly after 5:00 AM, when a trespass notice was ultimately issued. Independent journalists repeatedly called Toronto Police for updates, spending approximately two hours on hold across two separate calls before being told officers were tied up with life-and-death emergencies. Meanwhile, Canada Cop Watch observed two Toronto police cruisers parked just south of the campus with officers talking. After noticing they were being filmed, the cruisers drove away. TMU later responded by email stating the guards involved had been removed from the campus and that policies were being reviewed. However, it is alleged that several of those same guards have since been seen working on campus. This incident has raised serious questions about the authority of private security, the length of citizen detentions, and whether someone should be kept in handcuffs for over 9 hours while waiting for police. When this attempt fsiled he declared me wanted after violently arresting alll the student union leaders and falaely charging them for armed robbery, they also expelled us from UNILAG. Danbaba was later arrested alongside Major Al Mustapha for his role in aiding General Sani Abacha in severally deadly attacks on opposition figures including Kudirat Abiola and Alex Ibru. He died a miserable death years later! Today, two decades later, Nigeria's illegally appointed Nigeria Police Force Inspector General, Kayode Egbetokun, appears to be following a similar dangerous path. I was informed that he dispatched police officers to ambush me today. When this attempt failed, they declared me wanted.

Jose Antonio Ibarra, 26, who is not a US citizen, has been charged with malice murder, felony murder, false imprisonment, kidnapping and other charges in the murder of 22-year-old Laken Riley, police announced at a press conference Friday night. Riley’s roommate called campus police after Riley went for a jog that morning at the university’s intramural fields and never returned. Her body was found a short time later in a wooded area. She was unconscious and had “visible injuries” when officers found her, the University of Georgia Police Department said. At the press conference, the police chief said Riley died of blunt force trauma. On May 28, 2021, I ran for my life through the streets of downtown Portland, Ore. Antifa had discovered me working undercover after one of their members, John Hacker, exposed me to the mob. I screamed for help as I fled, but drivers and pedestrians looked away. The businesses were all shuttered, remnants of the ongoing destruction from the 2020 BLM-Antifa riots. There was nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. They caught me. Antifa tackled me to the ground, tearing my knee tendon in the process as I slid across the pavement. They punched me over and over and tried to choke me out. I barely managed to stumble into the Nines Hotel, begging the staff to call 911. Instead, they tried to force me back outside and told me to wear a Covid mask. I dropped to the floor, refusing to move, pleading for them to call the police. They refused. Outside, Antifa gathered. One of their ringleaders, Elizabeth Richter — the blonde woman — began rallying the crowd. She called on others on a livestream to come finish me off. She went inside the hotel and threatened me. Antifa also tried breaking their way into the hotel. I escaped only by jumping into an elevator with a hotel guest. After that, I was taken by ambulance to the hospital with a police guard. I was soaked in my blood. On social media, Antifa immediately began trying to track which hospital I was in, hoping to finish the job. As soon as I was discharged, I had to flee Portland. I moved between safe houses in different states. Antifa’s hunt for me was far from over. Portland Police closed the case a few weeks afterward, saying they couldn’t identify anyone. Nobody was ever arrested, just like in 2019 when I was beaten to the point that my brain bled.

Parents & Students are upset about what took place between a student & representatives at Arkansas State University One student wrote I just got off the phone with the Chancellor’s office at Arkansas State University regarding what’s been happening on campus. It is extremely disappointing and unacceptable that representatives from Turning Point USA are reportedly on campus making derogatory and racist remarks toward Black individuals—using terms like “ghetto,” “dusty,” and “ashy.” That kind of language is harmful, disrespectful, and creates a hostile environment for students. Yes, A-State is a public university, and I understand that under the First Amendment, even offensive speech can be protected. Court rulings like Brandenburg v. Ohio make it clear that speech is protected unless it incites imminent violence or is a direct threat. But let’s be clear just because something is legally protected does NOT make it right. Universities still have a responsibility to ensure their students feel safe, respected, and supported. Speech that targets and degrades people based on race can contribute to a hostile and discriminatory environment, and that should never be ignored. This is bigger than “free speech.” This is about dignity. This is about respect. This is about protecting ALL students. I am calling on Arkansas State University to take this seriously, review the situation, enforce their policies, and stand firm in their commitment to an inclusive campus. On the morning of February 19, 2020 Salisbury University was assaulted with a HATE CRIME that stopped them in their tracks. “ITS HANG A N*GGER MONTH” lay sprawled across the science hall… Classes were shut down for a "Day of Healing" as SU called it and University President Charles Wright declared that "An attack on members of our campus is an attack on all of us!” And he was right. For you see this wasn’t just an isolated case of racism, but the FIFTH in less than five months. Salisbury University had a serious problem on their hands. After the First in the fall, Campus exploded. Black Lives Matter rallies sprung out of the ether, ripe with preprinted signs, bullhorns and activists on social justice reform. A group was even formed “Change SU” and demands such as forced diversity training, and curriculum changes were handed over. But then the impossible happened... Something so far out, no one could’ve ever known. The perpetrator turned out to be a 54-year-old black man all along! Jerome Jackson plead guilty to all 5 incidents. Stunningly, there was no more outrage and no one cared about the messages! #ChangeSU refused to disband or retract their list of demands and student Abiodun Adeoye even stated that this shouldn’t mean that African Americans still can’t criticize White people about race.

Spraypainted next to the Halls and Monuments of Dr. Martin Luther King were the messages: "KKK" and "Leave N*ggers" OUTRAGE ON CAMPUS WOULD EXPLODE • Months of Student Protests were organized • A Diversity and Inclusion commission was created for Faculty and Students to study Race • A cash reward was posted that grew from $2,500 to $5,000 to finally $10,000 • Marches grew larger by the day • Overnight Sit-ins were formed • Signs were printed off that read: "Pro Black" and "Black Lives Matter" • Fighting Racism wasn't just a statement, it was an event • The Media stoked it each step of the way and then... You called the school. I called yesterday, I called and Amanda was with me, she recorded it. I called UVU and I called to the main desk and I said, Hey, I'm with such and such, I made up a thing and I said, I'm trying to find out if you guys, because the construction that's happening right now is unbelievable, it doesn't even look like what it is right now, okay? Doesn't make sense. I said, who do I talk to? You guys just had, and I apologize, you guys had the biggest assassination since JFK on your campus. Was there scheduled construction on the exact site where this happened? Can you comment on that? He goes, let me direct you to the right place. Sends me to maintenance or something like that. And there's a female that picks up and I go, hey, I'm so and so with media. I go, I'm just curious, did you guys have construction set up? I can't talk to you about that. I go, no, no, hold on one second. I don't need information about the shooting or nothing like that. Did you guys have scheduled maintenance? Shortly after this, a group of students holding Israeli flags were told they had to leave the McGill campus, or they would be arrested for obstruction. For their "safety." McGill security would not comment on whether or not McGill has an official policy to remove students with Israeli flags. The SPVM would not comment, nor would they direct me to a police liaison to clarify why these students were being targeted. Hundreds of anti-Israel protesters were permitted on campus with Palestinian flags. Some of these protesters burned an Israeli flag. Why are the students "unsafe" while holding a flag? Is holding a flag that radicals dislike now grounds for arrest in Canada? The SPVM seem to be doing the bidding of the radicals. They claim that holding one flag is obstruction but holding another is not. Why are they refusing to enforce the law. Why is carrying the Palestinian flag police-permitted and police-protected freedom of expression, when carrying the Israeli flag isn't? Rather than contending with the radicals and arresting them if they commit crimes, the SPVM opted to remove the peaceful students from campus. Another victory for pro-Hamas radicals on our streets. Another attack on freedom of expression.
