Cops snuck right up on her

This needs to happen in every store... People have had enough of this ridiculous behavior...

Cops should just start hiding in the back of stores 😂

She didn’t leave the store, I don’t think it will hold up in court.

Is that the law? Because I’m pretty sure you can’t shove a bunch of merchandise in your backpack either

This one confuses me. I’ve been a retail executive for 30 years and the laws are very clear. A person can generally take and hide product on their person within a store and it’s not considered theft. That is until they either exit the store or passes the last point of purchase towards an exit. (Varies by state). Looking forward to part 2.

Now I’m all for prosecuting shoplifters. That being said, am I the only one who thought she should have been allowed to leave the store before they arrested her? You know just in case she was indeed going to pay. Do I think that she was going to? No. However, I’ve been in management for a long time. And I’ve seen stranger shit happen that everything being crammed into a backpack when they thought no one was watching, all for them to unpack it at the register and pay for every single thing. Strange. But it happens. I just think this will be easy for any lawyer to pick apart if she had enough available funds to cover what she had.
