It’s so interesting to see how brands utilize every inch of the given dimensions for practicality, while still trying to make the product look good! (HONDA Amaze) Older hatchbacks like the VW Polo ditched this approach, they gave bumpers protruding out from the front and back, with a sharply slanted front glass, making zero compromises on design. As a result, this led to poor legroom and headspace. Every design becomes fascinating when you analyze these details closely. That’s when you truly appreciate designers for their approach, whether practical or aesthetic.

He is completely on point and I honestly can’t understand the hysteria and the competing narratives. Guys, it’s a Potemkin village, I dare you to venture a few kms outside!!! The reality is that Moscow is the largest city in Europe with 20 million people based on official numbers. The city is full of beautiful, well preserved historical sites, has modern infrastructure and services, it’s easy to get around, it’s clean and it’s safe. Moscow’s Crime Index ~35.2 (very low among major cities). For comparison, Paris: ~58.0, London: ~55.6, Washington, D.C.: I~59.8, New York City: ~51.1, Toronto: Crime Index ~43.5. The people making the loudest noise either swallowed the decades long propaganda without ever having stepped foot there themselves or are gleefully remembering the lawless shit hole it was devolving into in the 90s. I’ve been to Moscow 7 times since 2007, with the most recent visit 2 years ago. It’s an amazing city whether you like the politics or not. As for venturing out beyond the shiny capital and SPB, most large and largish cities have seen tremendous improvements with progress being made elsewhere as well. Russia is 17,098,246 km², no one in their right mind is saying that all inhabited areas are an idyllic utopia. They aren’t. Some far from it. There is disparity and places that still resemble those gray Soviet memoryscapes. The same people making the most noise should however be honest and look around their own backyard and let everyone know what they see when they step out of their country’s postcard collection.

This week Mamoon Hamid and Ilya Fushman of Kleiner Perkins joined Erik Torenberg on Turpentine VC to make the case for the craftsman approach to venture capital, and it's a must-listen. Our top takeaways: 1. KP holds firm in their belief in the craft approach to VC, which isn’t too dissimilar from the approach 30 - 40 years ago. Of course they employ new tools and software that allows them to be better stewards of the capital they manage, but the craft of investing is still at the center of everything they do. Kleiner may never have more than 7 partners: less is more, and one team, one dream. And it all comes from the question of: “how do we make really good decisions?” That means all being based in the Bay Area, having in-person team meetings every Monday, and having those discussions as a team sitting around a table. 2. The team at Kleiner uses “majors and minors” to cover new waves or emerging domains with a small team. Because of their team size, it’s difficult for KP to spin up specialization. So they fall back on having partners with great fundamentals (majors), with the ability to shirt into emergent domains (minors). The minors allow partners to shift into the new trends bubbling up, like crypto, AI, and more. Mamoon and Ilya view their job as making sure they know what the new thing is, and being intentional and deliberate with their decisions to either lean deeper into it, because they believe that’s where real history-making companies will get built, or pass, because they think it’s a fad. 3. The process KP uses to determine how well they’re doing compared to other competing firms. Every Monday, they look at the prior week of Seed, Series A’s, and Series B’s that got done by their peer set. And they ask the following question for each company: “Did we see this one? Or did we not see it?” Then over the course of a quarter, they aggregate that to assess what’s happening on the ground and whether or not they’re seeing what they think are interesting companies in every company they look at. It’s a way of assessing whether or not Kleiner is truly the first, second or third call, or how relevant the firm is to the top companies that are getting funded today. PR agencies, part 1: When do you need one and who should you hire? Super common question. I've cofounded an agency and worked with at least a dozen others, and here's my answer. First, going direct as a founder doesn't mean executing every comms tactic, just as being a technical founder doesn't mean writing every line of code. If you can't keep up with all the comms work that needs to be done, you're a bottleneck and need to get help. And while you should never outsource the story and strategy, a good agency can help with crafting pitches, doing outreach, or managing a project like a launch or crisis. Finding strong writers is hard, so unless you luck out, you’re better off doing the writing yourself. Even if it’s mid, at least it’ll be mid in your voice. What are your options for PR agencies? Start with referrals from other founders. While people in the industry might want to advocate for friends or bash competitors, founders will usually give a frank assessment of their experience. Different kinds of agencies: 1) Large global agencies, eg Brunswick, Edelman, Sard 2) Boutique agencies specializing in corporate comms and special situations, eg Milltown or my former firm TrailRunner 3) Agencies specializing in tech startups, eg Outcast, Six Eastern, The Bulleit Group 4) Comms shops embedded with lobbying firms, eg Invariant or Tusk Strategies 5) Great freelancers like Cristin Culver, Cameron Langford, many others How do you choose the best agency? Look at the people on the team. Sometimes the person pitching is great but it's a different person doing the work. Always meet the "real" team and account lead. Consider: 1) How quickly are they sending you a proposal? This is the fastest and most responsive they will ever be, so use this to evaluate their operational tempo and make sure it keeps up with yours. 2) Is the proposal good? And by good, I mean: is the writing clear and precise? Are they asking the right questions? Are their ideas and their assumptions sound? Do they have a sense of aesthetic? Is what you’ve told them reflected correctly; did they know what to do with the information? 3) How badly do they want the business? Is it excitement about your mission (good) or desperation to land business (bad)? 4) Who’s recommending them? Are their former clients the kinds of companies you want to emulate: Do you respect the taste and judgment of people who like their work? If they have a logo in their marketing materials and you call the founder, does the backchannel review match the company’s representation? A lot of people will agree to an endorsement just to be nice, but their private assessment might differ. 5) Do they “get it”? Can they instinctively pick up on problems or opportunities without you telling them? 6) Do they know the players in the space? Actually know them, not relying on Google or AI or databases to look them up and find their emails? You want people on a texting basis with at least some of the influential people you want to speak to.

There is a beautiful story that just happened in AI so let me share it for a lighter tone weekend post among all the doom stories in our AI field this week. It’s a story of people on three continents building and sharing in the open a new small efficient and state-of-the-art AI model. It started a couple of months ago when a new team in the AI scene released their first model from their headquarters in Paris (France): Mistral 7B. Impressive model, small and very strong performances in the benchmarks, better than all previous models of this size. And open source! So you could build on top of it. Lewis in Bern (Switzerland) and Ed (in Lyon, in the South of France) both from the H4 team, a team of researchers in model fine-tuning and alignment were talking about it over a coffee, in one of these gatherings that often happen at Hugging Face to break the distance between people (literal distance as HF is a remote company). What about fine-tuning it using this new DPO method that a research team from Stanford in California just posted on Arxiv, says one? Hey, that’s a great idea, replies the other. We've just build a great code base (with Nathan, Nazneen, Costa, Younes and all the H4 team and TRL community) let's use it! The next day they start diving in the datasets openly shared on the HF hub and stumble upon two interesting large and good quality fine-tuning datasets recently open-sourced by OpenBMB, a Chinese team from Tsinghua: UltraFeedback and UltraChat. A few rounds of training experiments confirm the intuition, the resulting model is super strong, by far the strongest they have ever seen in their benchmarks from Berkeley and Stanford (LMSYS and Alpaca). Join Clementine, the big boss of the open evaluation leaderboard. Her deep dive into the model capabilities confirms the results: impressive performance. But the H4 team also hosts a famous faculty member, Pr. Sasha Rush, Associate Professor at Cornell University in his daytime, hacker at HF in his nighttime. Joining the conversation, he proposes to quickly draft a research paper to organize and share all the details with the community. A few days later, the model, called Zephyr (a wind like Mistral), paper, and all details are shared with the world. Quickly other companies, everywhere in the world starts to use it. LlamaIndex, a famous data framework and community, shares how the model blew their expectations on real-life use-case benchmarks, while researchers and practitioners discuss the paper and work on the Hugging Face hub. All this happened in just a few weeks catalyzed by open access to knowledge, models, research, and datasets released all over the world (Europe, California, China) and by the idea that people can build upon one another work in AI to bring real-world value with efficient and open models. Stories like this are numerous everywhere around us and make me really proud of the AI community and see how we can build amazingly useful things together. Exhibit A in “How to ruin your own life before 25”: Almost-25-year-old rolls into a tattoo shop to cover up her latest regrettable elbow decision… and the artist simply notices reality: rainbow hair, face tattoos that look like they lost a bet with a Sharpie, lip piercings straight out of a “hire me never” starter pack, neck barbed wire (peak approachable energy), spiderweb for extra edge, and hands covered in enough random symbols to qualify as a walking “do not hire” sign. Artist: “How old are you?” “Almost 25.” Artist: “That’s a lot going on with your face for somebody who’s not even 25 yet.” Our protagonist’s brilliant defense? “I only have two face tattoos” while frantically pointing at their forehead, eye drips, neck, and hands like they’re counting participation trophies. Then they hit 13. Because apparently everything from the neck up (and the hands) doesn’t count if you squint hard enough and lie to yourself. Nothing says “I make excellent long-term decisions” like turning your face and hands into a permanent billboard for “I peaked during my edgy phase and now I’m surprised the world treats me accordingly.” The artist didn’t “judge.” They observed the obvious consequences of a string of poor choices and had the audacity to say it out loud. This is NOT peak self-expression and empowerment. It’s a masterclass in making every future job interview, relationship, and opportunity harder than it needed to be.

What Elon Musk dreams of, we already live in the UAE. Here it isn’t theory, it’s law. Enter like a guest in our home. And like any home, if I wouldn’t trust you near my children, why should I trust you near my country? Every citizen is family. Every family is sacred. And sacred things we protect always. Elon said: "Respect the law, respect the culture, contribute, and do no harm." Even a Tesla understands that. Because when law collapses, chaos doesn’t just arrive, it sets up a company in London or Paris and opens a bank account. Look at the UK. Look at France. Some immigrants bring talent, but the majority bring Hamas. Some arrive with laptops, others with fatwas printed in Sudan by the Muslim Brotherhood-led army, the Hamas of Africa. And Paris? It welcomes immigrants from the Houthis in Yemen..militias who treat death like a lifestyle brand. And the numbers? Britain lost 16,500 millionaires in 2023. France lost 10,000 in the same year. And the UAE? We gained 9,800. That is not migration, that is profit. London and Paris are the drain. Abu Dhabi is the magnet. Here in the UAE, 200 nationalities live as one. Mosque, church, synagogue, all side by side. In #London, they debate banning knives because stabbings are now the national pastime. In Paris, they cannot decide if the riot is over or just taking a coffee break. Churchill said: “Civilization will not last, freedom will not survive, peace will not be kept, unless the majority unite to defend them.” De Gaulle would add today: “And please, stop importing chaos with your baguette.” Meanwhile, Britain spends £215 billion a year on immigration. France spends over €25 billion a year. What do they get? 280,000 homeless in the UK. 330,000 homeless in France. Knife crime in London, car-burning in Paris. Islamist networks in both. Not diversity. Disaster. And let us not forget the terror money. In the UK and France the Muslim Brotherhood runs charities to support terrorists like Hamas, who kidnap babies as they did on October 7. The UAE already named the companies laundering cash for terrorists in the Middle East, no different from Hamas in #Gaza and Islamist armies in Sudan. Not charities. Not community hubs. Just blood money in suits: Nafel Capital, Holdco UK Properties, Wembley Tree, Ima6ine, Cambridge Training. Terrorist accountants with nice logos. London knows. Paris knows. Both could ban the Muslim Brotherhood tomorrow. But they will not. They prefer the photo op, the smile, the handshake, while their own houses burn. Jihadist immigrants in France and the UK protested against normalization with Israel. The UK and France gave them citizenship. We in the UAE gave them numbers. Trade between Israel and the UAE jumped from 190 million dollars in 2020 to 6.4 billion dollars in 2024. Flights went from zero to 100 a week. Over 1 million Israelis visited in three years. In January alone, 116,000 Israelis flew to the UAE, ten percent of all Tel Aviv flights. A land corridor now slashes shipping time from 14 days to 4. And the deals? Fifty agreements in tech, healthcare, AI, energy, and agriculture. Solar, hydrogen, cancer research. And culture? In the UAE, over 2,000 Jews live openly with three synagogues, kosher restaurants, and schools. In London and Paris, they don’t open kosher restaurants, they burn them. While Britain and France host extremists, we host entrepreneurs. While they lose millionaires, we gain them. While they drown in ideology, we rise on innovation. That is the math. That is the story. That is the future. And that is why what Elon Musk dreams of, we already live.

Years ago when I was recruiting for Cornell, I remember watching a preseason game in Western Canada with Brett Larson, now the Head Coach at St. Cloud. The game we were watching was turning into a bit of a blowout in the second period and wasn’t going to be a great evaluation so we got into talking some hockey. Just an unreal hockey mind and a great coach. At one point he goes to me - “Watch every time a team makes 3 passes in a row and see what happens…” I was like OK, not thinking much of it. But then as we keep talking and I’m watching, very rarely are there three passes being made on the tape in a row. It’s a dump, someone tries to beat someone one on one, it’s a turnover, etc… And then finally BOOM three passes in a row - and there’s a scoring chance. Go a little while longer, not a ton of plays being made and then BOOM again - three passes on the tape in a row and there’s a scoring chance. It didn’t happen often, but when it did…offensive chances and goals were created. It was like clockwork. PASSING is the most underrated and under-worked-on skill in hockey. Hockey is a TEAM game and when I watch the game, especially at the youth levels, the team that passes the puck better typically wins. We need to prioritize it more with our kids…BIG TIME. This goal is an incredible example. Just flawless execution of passing, making the game look so beautiful. What a display of hockey sense, support, puck protection, and poise. I know there’s a lot of coaches out there on social media working their ass off to create content. Only problem is, 90% of the content I see from skills coaches on social media have zero passing in them. The kids are seeing dangles, tight turns, spins, etc…but they aren’t seeing what is going to make them an actual “hockey player”. High level scouts today are telling us all the time they’re seeing a ton of skilled players…who just don’t understand the game. They can all do “The Michigan”, they have incredible speed and hands…but they struggle to make plays or play as part of a unit. Working on skills is important - but let’s make sure that we don’t forget the one most important for playing a team game. If we get back to that, we’ll see a lot more goals like this one in the future.

💙 K9 Roam Is Home 🇺🇸🐾 I’ve just watched the video of K9 Roam making his journey home — escorted by his brothers and sisters in blue, surrounded by an outpouring of love from the community — and I’ll be honest, it brought tears to my eyes. Only days ago, Roam was fighting for his life after being gravely injured in the line of duty. Today, he’s heading home with his handler by his side — a warrior’s welcome for a truly brave soul. The sight of people lining the streets, waving flags, holding signs, and cheering him on is something words can barely capture. It’s proof of the bond that exists between our police dogs, their handlers, and the communities they protect. 💙 Roam’s courage, and the compassion shown by everyone involved — from the veterinary team who saved his life to every person who came out to show support — reminds us what true strength and love look like. And that’s a wrap on First Stand !! Incoming “I ain't reading that, happy for u, or sorry that happened” post xD First Stand Gameplay - Was pretty happy with how the lane swaps and adjustments to Atakhan worked out. Don’t know the exact number), but it felt like mostly Ruinous with games of Voracious where it made sense and no lane swaps - There was a good amount of AD/AP squishy and tank mix in each role with omega gigachad Zeka pulling out the Sylas Ahri and Akali where it made sense 🙃 - Skarner and Kalista were the outliers on priority, but teams didn’t seem particularly effective with Kalista… - Skarner on the other hand; will discuss with the team about larger work on him when we get back; he’s too effective at too many things, while also being impotent for regular players - As announced yesterday by Greeley, we’re hoping to see adaptive drafts continue with Fearless for the rest of the year, I think diversity will continue to increase as teams get better at finding lines to draft that make certain counterpick/situational champs god tier after certain champs are out; it will evolve into more of a TFT/Chess style “find the optimal line to draft with the pieces given”, which the prospects are really exciting - An improvement point feels like how long it takes to end if a team gets a significant early lead; part of this is how optimal boringly slowly choking the opponent out is over 15 min, rather than changing the incentive structure so that ahead teams can make major decisive play and can end the game swiftly - Maybe an opportunity space for the future… but interested in hearing peoples’ thoughts on this First Stand Experience - It was amazing and inspiring seeing how many fans were coming out to support the teams without tickets - Not only the KC fans who flew from Europe to do a meetup watch party and it was great chatting to a few, but also what felt like an unstoppable number of college girls coming out to support HLE. I think I counted about 100 wearing HLE jackets on finals day, but it was a reminder of how integrated and mainstream popular League feels in the East - As soon as the entry to the cheerfuls (signs) opened, they all charged in to go and start drawing their cards, it was honestly quite shocking the level of dedication and enthusiasm that some of these fans had, but also awesome - I can’t possibly imagine something like that happening in the West… - We also had the honor to play in a mini Arena tournament with a bunch of LCK Legends that have I've been watching for 15 years and didn’t do too shabby; went 6th, 3rd, 2nd, but Mingyo and Sangho were too good… - It will be the first and last time I get to say I killed Pray, Smeb, Kuro, Madlife, Shy on repeat :D and the players watching on stream were surprised to see the Devs were actually pretty decent LOL, which felt nice - A fan came out specifically to play with Kuro, wearing a ROX Tigers jersey and seeing the joy of getting to meet and play with your hero, she was laughing, smiling, it must have been the time of her life; it’s just a reminder of how meaningful League can be and just makes us really inspired to keep working hard to make the game good Solo Q Experience and Balance - Outside of the work obligations, had some time to slam 20 Solo Q games; was pleasantly surprised by my level this time around, feels like I’m playing around solidly KR D2/D1 level, which is quite shocking, because it’s not like I’m Masters level on NA right now and haven’t been able to play more than 50 games in the last 6 months due to life. Probably would've won more if I wasn't such a kda player xD - Main character syndrome still feels really peak here, the person either goes 8-0 or 0-8 and is spam FF’ing repeatedly, so minimizing my enemy laner impact, scaling and playing defensively to support my jungler feels most effective even though I’m playing Ori who feels like a dog champ on this server, since it’s so hard to actually land QW on anyone due to their mechanics and it’s risky to walk in river and so easy to die to ganks - Moving to help jungler in lost fights to avoid mental boom is the only thing that I’m finding annoying, some of these fight selections feel extremely perplexing, like Zac wanting to fight Lee at first scuttle with no prio and I end up having to sac my lane half the time to prevent them from AFK’ing or soft inting because I didn’t move, it’s super annoying… - Every post game chat also feels like at least 3 players are writing their PhD thesis, which is somewhat amusing, but also really unfortunate… - It feels like Lee Sin or Viego are in every game with a 30% pickrate, so if you can prevent the team from throwing and always follow them around and play secondary, they can carry, whereas on NA, Lee Sins in Diamond can't carry and suck relatively (ping hurts as well), so it’s not like you can play around them reliably - It was interesting to feel again for myself just how different these champs feel in their balance state across servers, indeed in one of the press conferences there was a question about balancing decisions making no sense for the state of the champ on KR server. I can see why KR players get angry when we buff Lee because the other regions suck at him, he unironically feels 2-3% winrate stronger on KR server, same with Jayce who has a monstrous pickrate here as well - We even almost buffed Lee Sin for First Stand because he’s been pretty absent from Pro, so I’m actually not quite sure what we’re meant to do about that… - The other thing that I forgot was how good it was to play on 2ms ping. I’m not sure whether it’s net positive for the person dodging or the person hitting, but since I mostly play immobile mages, it feels like I can dodge line skillshots and range leash people more effectively, which makes Mages feel so much better, though it also means it’s extremely hard to QW tag someone in a teamfight as Ori, let alone hit them with R - I’m curious if any people have done any analysis on this - I also attached typical KR Lee Sin penta 😅 Anyway, back to NA tmrw, lots of work to do

I can not quantify how animals feel pain but hyenas giving birth should be on the highest scales of pain. If you've been following for a while, I have explained that it's difficult to distinguish between male and female hyenas cos female hyenas have pseudopenises that look like the male's penis. In fact, a female hyena's penis is longer than an average male human's penis. It can even get erect. This pseudopenis is their external vagina. They have to innvert it in to mate. And worse, they give birth with it. I mean...hyena cubs are born through this pseudopenis. It’s quite a painful process for the mother and often tragic for her babies. Usually, hyenas give birth to bear a litter of two to four cubs. Sadly, an estimated 60% of them suffocate on their way out. The mothers are also in danger as the birth canal is only an inch in diameter, often making the birthing process fatal, as evidenced by the high death rate for first-time mothers. Humane Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet with Imran and Bethany at Humane’s HQ to discuss the AI pin and Cosmos OS. Let’s start with Humane. In my opinion, they are attempting to reintegrate us into the real world by reducing the time spent on menial tasks that currently consume our screen time. These are tasks we all perform daily, which cumulatively consume a significant amount of time. Thus, the pin serves almost as an extension of your cognitive abilities. We are entering a new era of personal computing, one that is not entirely familiar or even fully defined. Humane is not alone in this category but distinguishes itself through meticulous attention to both hardware and software design. Creating a new category of wearable computing is no simple task, and the jury is still out on whether the current path is the right one. I will say this much: I’ve been openly skeptical about the AI pin, given its challenging nature. However, in the last few months, I’ve begun to view the entire market through a new lens. If we look back, the last 15 years have been about the mass adoption of smartphones, essentially providing everyone with access to a computer in their pocket. With an accelerated timeframe and new adoption curves, I think we’re about to enter a period of great diversity in technology. It’s a time where the mass adoption of a specific product category is not required or perhaps even desirable. A quick glance at AI-enabled hardware or ambient computing instantly reveals a wide range of products, from screenless (Tab), to screen-driven (R1), to laser projection and voice (AI Pin), to apps (iOS/Android software). I can clearly see all these hardware products succeeding and thriving because different consumers will have different preferences. Essentially, we’re entering a nuanced and playful era of personal hardware devices, perhaps reminiscent of the one we experienced in the ’90s, thus completing a full 30-year trend cycle. Returning to Humane and the AI pin, it’s an impressive piece of engineering. Imran cares deeply about the smallest details, understanding why they matter to the consumer. One such example is the TLC poured into the hinge for the charge capsule and the time spent on that detail. It’s clear to me that both Imran and Bethany are deeply committed to what they are trying to achieve and bring into the world. Similarly, they seem to have assembled a team that shares these values. Creating new product categories is no menial task. It requires bold vision, creativity, and a huge leap of faith, both personally and from those around you, including your team and investors. The jury is still out on whether the product is the right one. But one thing is certain: for 99% of people, this is straight out of science fiction. Humane Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet with Imran and Bethany at Humane’s HQ to discuss the AI pin and Cosmos OS. Let’s start with Humane. In my opinion, they are attempting to reintegrate us into the real world by reducing the time spent on menial tasks that currently consume our screen time. These are tasks we all perform daily, which cumulatively consume a significant amount of time. Thus, the pin serves almost as an extension of your cognitive abilities. We are entering a new era of personal computing, one that is not entirely familiar or even fully defined. Humane is not alone in this category but distinguishes itself through meticulous attention to both hardware and software design. Creating a new category of wearable computing is no simple task, and the jury is still out on whether the current path is the right one. I will say this much: I’ve been openly skeptical about the AI pin, given its challenging nature. However, in the last few months, I’ve begun to view the entire market through a new lens. If we look back, the last 15 years have been about the mass adoption of smartphones, essentially providing everyone with access to a computer in their pocket. With an accelerated timeframe and new adoption curves, I think we’re about to enter a period of great diversity in technology. It’s a time where the mass adoption of a specific product category is not required or perhaps even desirable. A quick glance at AI-enabled hardware or ambient computing instantly reveals a wide range of products, from screenless (Tab), to screen-driven (R1), to laser projection and voice (AI Pin), to apps (iOS/Android software). I can clearly see all these hardware products succeeding and thriving because different consumers will have different preferences. Essentially, we’re entering a nuanced and playful era of personal hardware devices, perhaps reminiscent of the one we experienced in the ’90s, thus completing a full 30-year trend cycle. Returning to Humane and the AI pin, it’s an impressive piece of engineering. Imran cares deeply about the smallest details, understanding why they matter to the consumer. One such example is the TLC poured into the hinge for the charge capsule and the time spent on that detail. It’s clear to me that both Imran and Bethany are deeply committed to what they are trying to achieve and bring into the world. Similarly, they seem to have assembled a team that shares these values. Creating new product categories is no menial task. It requires bold vision, creativity, and a huge leap of faith, both personally and from those around you, including your team and investors. The jury is still out on whether the product is the right one. But one thing is certain: for 99% of people, this is straight out of science fiction. I decided to make an UPDATED VERSION of Geno's Shapeless Man style and here's how it turned out! 👀 Below is a video comparison & image of the official Shapeless Man material not including the niagra (flame & distortion vfx) and my version of the Shapeless Man material. While making this, I made sure to use the SAME textures that were used on the official Shapeless Man style. Although I was a tad bit more restricted in Blender with what I could do, I still think it came out good. No disrespect at all to the artists who created the Shapeless Man style, but the biggest issue I have with it is that the lines on his body aren't animated. Along with the distortion, that was a huge factor in what made the Shapeless Man... well, shapeless. The animated lines were present in the Collision version of the Shapeless Man, so I'm not sure why they aren't present in the official style. 🫤 Another change I made to the material was Geno's eyes. In the Collision Event his eyes had a nice gradient and looked a lot more intimidating. Unfortunately that was niagra which I do not have access to in Blender, but I tried my best to recreate a similar look in Blender. Additionally, I also added back Geno's scarf around his neck (Yes, it's codenamed scarf). This was another big detail apart of the Shapeless Man that really made his look feel complete and it was unfortunate to see that was excluded in the official style. I'd like to thank Point⁉️🍉 for help with the node setup & aiden for providing me with the material for the original Shapeless Man style. 🫶 Despite some of my disappointments with the material itself, I LOVE the new unique mesh for the Shapeless Man. In comparison to the Collision version, this mesh makes Geno look a LOT more unsettling and the team behind it did a wonderful job on it! 👏 All in all, I'd love if Epic could take this into consideration and possibly update Geno's Shapeless Man style to look more like the version I'm suggesting. I only want the best for this character. 🤞 Support on this post would be appreciated and thank you to whoever took their time to read this! ❤️
