As we celebrate Independence Day and thank God for the freedoms and blessings we enjoy, BillyGraham’s message remains as relevant as ever: America’s deepest need is a humble dependence on God. As the United States of America marks the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, we have much to be grateful for—but also much to reflect upon. Billy Graham challenged Americans to examine the “stitches” of sin and brokenness that still exist in our nation and reminded us of God’s promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” This Fourth of July, as we celebrate God’s faithfulness to our country, may we thank Him for His goodness, seek His forgiveness, and pray for His continued guidance, wisdom and favor for America.

We sincerely hope that this abuse is reversed as quickly as possible. We have the right to be with all of you, for our leaders, to be with all of you, and to share our thoughts and ideas peacefully, diplomatically, legally, and in a civilized way. Denying us, denying our leaders, the opportunity to do so is an abuse of the authority, and it is a punishment for the State of Palestine that should not take place. God has waited for Africa for a long time. I share this conviction as I welcome the mission of the Mantle of Deborah and A Million Women Prayer Movements, and I pray that God will raise a million women in Uganda to pray for our nation so that we can rise and become what God intended Africa to be. I have no doubt that God will answer, and all the honor and glory will go back to Him. When women rise up and are determined to do something, they do it. If we all rise up and pray, I can't imagine how much more God is going to do for all of us.
