It’s not meant to fill up. It’s meant to help you charge just enough to get home. Charging to 100% outside your home is like eating every meal at an airport or amusement park. A waste of money.

This is an ignorant take. And full electric absolutely makes sense if you charge at home and drive less than 300 miles a day, which the majority of people do. I own gas, hybrid and full electric vehicles. My Tesla is the absolute winner for daily use and costs a fraction in “fuel” & maintenance vs the others.

Ahh, but you forget one huge thing. An hour and ten minutes in Costco runs 500 or so. Just sayin.

Last week I charged my Tesla Model Y from 34% to 80% in about 15 min at a Tesla supercharger at Wal-Mart for $16.

Don’t fill the battery to 100%. The charging is cheaper under 80% and only takes about 20 minutes. You will pay way less and save time only filling to 80%. Then direct the car to find a charger when your car has 15-20% battery left. I drove to Palm springs from WA state and back, it cost $606 in charging round trip.

I pay 0.10/KwH for electricity at home. To fully charge a 100kwh battery would cost me $10 and I'd have a 400 mile range. The point is that these remote charging stations should be for emergdncy only and charging at home is very cost effective snd is the equivelant of sbout $1.00/gallon of gas

If you want an EV, great, go get one. But it's just adding more steps in the whole fossil fuel usage. Where do they think the power comes from to charge their vehicles? Sure, maybe some hydraulic energy. I don't think wind energy produces enough, so it's mostly gas. They're still using gas to charge up, they just don't know it. Just skip the middleman and put the gas directly in your car.

I found that people who have never owned an electric vehicle, know way more about them than people who do own electric vehicles. Without knowing the kilowatt hours, what's the point. I charge mine for 7.7 cents per kilowatt hour, during off peak rates. It cost less than five dollars to fully charge my model Y.

My Kia EV6 can charge from 10% to 80% in 15 mins. Costs fluctuate based on location, time of day and cost per kWh. Range is 350 BTW Average cost is about 24$ at a public charger. Do better research and try a tad bit harder before complaining about a system foreign to what you "like" understand. Omg 😲

Most ppl who own ev's have a charger at home (I do), and only charge at these locations if they are doing extensive traveling or just haven't paid attention to their car's charge level.

Full EV only makes sense in small campuses and golf courses. Hybrid EV is near peak auto design currently. If they every produce diesel-EV-hybrids we'd be looking at 80+ MPG. Hydrogen didn't work out yet, but might some day. Full-EV's were never a good idea.

Not supposed to charge over 80% unless you're traveling long distances. After any electric car gets charged over 80% it takes longer and it gets more expensive.

These types of chargers are so insanely slow. This woman could charge at a Tesla station for 1/3 of the time and price!

What a bargain

If you are not charging at home you’re doing it wrong. I pay 13 cents per kilowatt hour, that would be under $20.00 to fully charge it. Now if she can’t charge at home, that’s one her. EVs have their place and I really like my car, but there is no way I would have one if I couldn’t charge at home.

$0.61 KwH is absurd pricing for electricity. She must be in Newsom’s California. Electric cars are cheaper in most states not run by retards.

I only go to Tesla super charger stations and my Tesla 3 charges fast and for a lot less! The rest are a rip off!

You’re supposed to charge EV batteries to 80% for daily driving. That last 20% takes much longer to charge than the first 80%. She has no idea what she’s doing.

That's why it only makes sense to buy an EV if you have a home charger. Road trips are different, but I've never spent anywhere near $62 for a charge with a Tesla Supercharger. We took a trip from Houston to Phoenix last year and spent $455 total on charging, round trip.

@cybertruck is cheaper than gas. Maybe you should charge at a cheaper charger or at home.

I have a 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid and get consistently 55/MPG sometimes 58/mpg on each tank. It has a 10 gal tank and cost me $24.00 to top back off today. I also have a 2024 CRX hybrid that gets consistently 42/MPG. All electric vehicles are a ripoff.

My tesla takes $12 per 300 miles of charge. Equivalent gas is $60. Dipshit.
