@RMTunion Thanks for sharing this . it's my local station. It's not fully accessible as it only has a footbridge to get back to your car on opposite platform. Sara Britcliffe, the MP boasted about the ramp improvement, but as this passenger shows without the office staff, it's inaccessible

@RMTunion Thanks Kate, it's shocking how inaccessible public transport already is for so many people. These ticket office closures will exacerbate already existing problems!

@parmenion62 I must admit in advance I’m not a big train user. I’ve used the ticket machine before, well when I say used I mean I tried, it was the most confusing thing ever, multiple prices for same journey, so confusing I went to the ticket office and I’m neither blind or daft.

@Frusie We have to stop giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming their cruelty isn't deliberate. It's hard to do, because most of us find it near-impossible to imagine being that nasty, but we have to.

Looking at the height of the touch screen would this style of ticket machine also be inaccessible for wheelchair users ?

Won't keep our ticket offices open but the government can find millions of UK taxpayers money to build a railway in TURKEY!!!!

That also looks like it would be inaccessible to someone in a wheelchair or mobility scooter. The concrete plinth would prevent getting close enough to reach up to the screen. We don't matter to these designers and I'm sick of being an afterthought.
