“I can’t actually work this ticket machine at all… This is completely inaccessible to me.” Blind and partially sighted people like Bernie will face significant barriers to rail travel if ticket offices are scrapped. Take action before Wednesday 26 July:

To all of those out there saying “I’m alright Jack“ & “everyone can use the machines, get rid of the staff” watch this & understand, these proposals are so much more damaging to disabled, elderly, non English speaking users of the railway network - YOU may be okay - others Not so

@Helenspicer15 There is no way doing away with ticket offices should get through an EIA. But they want to cut staff, sell the most expensive tickets and max profit. This is what markets do they exploit.

@terryelaineh1 Those of us with tremors will also struggle, as indeed we do with all this digitised nonsense.

The ticket machine at my local station is very unreliable, even for those with perfect sight. It's very slow and the touch screen is a nightmare. I've taken to buying tickets online, but not everyone can do that - sighted or unsighted.

@paulbest2 People Need People. I don't work for any Retailer/ Train Operator so I'm not selling myself a ticket or working their Tills.

@SocialistNHS GET YOUR GRUBBY PAWS OFF OUR TICKET OFFICES WE NEED THEM YOU HEARTLESS B******* DS

Nationalise.

How do you know the screen is dirty

Hello @KathrynBole I’m a disability Labour member and had an urgent query for you. Could you please send me a DM? Many thanks and apologies for hijacking this thread!

This is not acceptable.
