@MichaelCourtTV Yes. No matter what we all believe about Alex M… he is still entitled to fair trail and it is the duty of the court to ensure he gets one. His civil rights were violated. Guilty or not, every citizen deserves that.

@MichaelCourtTV If what the defense alleges in their motion is true, he probably will get a new trial. IMO it's sad that the actions of one person (the clerk of court) can set aside the verdict in a case that was thoroughly litigated on both sides over many weeks.

If the allegations are true, he should absolutely get a new trial. This is so much bigger than Alex Murdaugh. Again, if true, a new trial is a must to protect the rights of every past, present, and future defendant.

@MichaelCourtTV I hate to say it, but yes. If allegations are true, he did not get a fair trial, as afforded by the US Constitution.

@MichaelCourtTV If there is proof the jury engaged in discussions as claimed, a new trial (seeking death penalty because they know more now than ehen originally decided) would happen. I don’t believe the claims are accurate.

@MichaelCourtTV I'm more concerned about the wider implications of this IF the allegations are true. If true, is this the first trial she has intereferred in and will there be an inquiry into all cases where she has acted as clerk.

@MichaelCourtTV No he's still guilty

@MichaelCourtTV If Becky Hill did those things, and judging by the sworn affidavits it appears she did, absolutely he should get a new trial. Accountability goes all the way around.

@MichaelCourtTV Yes! If even 1️⃣ of these things are true, then yes, a new trial should be given. It's about protecting the process, not the verdict.

@MichaelCourtTV Alex Murdaugh should not get a new trial. I don't blame Harpoolian for trying to get a new trial because Murdaugh will be found guilty again.
