The shipping squeeze on world's largest oil tankers has a primary cause and it is actually NOT the Iran War. Two years ago, a mysterious Korean billionaire predicted that Israel would attack Iran and started quietly buying Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs), Ed Finleyโ€“Richardson explains. After approaching the largest VLCC owners and making them "offers they couldn't refuse" (20% above market), he now controls a staggering 30-35%+ of (active compliant & bookable) VLCCs and started refusing to take cargoes unless firms paid him very expensive contracts. This has pushed VLCC rates to all-time highs BEFORE the Iran War, and has led to some analysts to say this this Korean billionaire-visionary was trying to "corner the market" in VLCCs (Ed acknowledges this term but does not use it himself). Now that the predictions of this man (Ga-Hyun Chung of SINOKOR) have come true, the VLCC market is at a critical juncture.... For the consequences in greater depth, not just on VLCCs but all tanker vessels, I recommend you watch Ed's full interview which is available below (some exceptionally unusual things are going on). For even more greater detail (much, much more), check out Ed's research service which includes his private X (Twitter) account. Discounted subscriptions are available to Monetary Matters subscribers until April 17th (7 days remain). Apple๐Ÿ”Š Spotify๐Ÿ“ฝ๏ธ YouTube๐Ÿ“ฝ๏ธ Misadventures in Shipping๐Ÿšข

On Running created a wild new spray-on shoe. The process is called LightSpray and was inspired by glue guns. The method is a game-changer for footwear manufacturing, per NYT: โ–ซ๏ธIt takes 3 minutes to finish the upper part of the shoe (see video) vs. 3 hours with stitching โ–ซ๏ธA single person can operate the machine vs. 100 people on a normal shoe assembly line (and only has 7 parts vs. ~150 to 200) โ–ซ๏ธโ€Rather than being put together by patternmakers, it is created using parametric design principles, and computational engineering.โ€ How? A robot arm sprays โ€œa single semi-translucent synthetic monofilament almost a mile longโ€ on to a shoe mold to finish the upper (which is then โ€œheat-fused to a foam rubber and carbon fibre soleโ€). The shoe is very light at 170 grams and has 75% less environmental impact than a normal shoe-making process because: โ–ซ๏ธIt can be made near the final selling destination (instead of in Asia and shipped around the world) โ–ซ๏ธThere is very little filament waste and the material is a thermoplastic (which can be melted down and re-used after the shoe is done) The lace-less (and form-fitting) shoe is officially called Cloudboom Strike LS and has already proven itself: Kenyan runner Hellen Obiri won the 2024 Boston Marathon wearing them (time = 2:22:37). Obiri will be wearing them at Paris 2024 Olympics, too. โ€œIt happened in 1979 with Nike Air Tech and in 1982 with the Air Force 1,โ€ writes NYTโ€™s Vanessa Friedman on the history of shoe innovation. โ€œIt happened with the Adidas Yeezys in 2015. And it happened with the Nike Vaporfly and the introduction of carbon plates in 2017.โ€ The LightSpray will be commercially available in the Fall for $300+. Thatโ€™s pricey AF but Iโ€™ll prob get a pair for my long distanceโ€ฆ300 meter walks to Starbucks. *** Full NYT link: Making of YouTube video from ON:

Todayโ€™s guest is Hunter Pond, the founder of Vandelay Hospitality Group, one of the most recognizable restaurant portfolios in Texas. From dropping out of law school mid-exam to launching East Hampton Sandwich Co. with no industry experience, Hunter shares how a love for restaurants kickstarted a hospitality empire. We dive into the creation and evolution of VHG. Hunter breaks down the art and science behind successful concepts, why restaurants fail, and how his team approaches everything from vendor relationships to tip pooling and fraud prevention. This episode covers: - The impulsive moment that launched his restaurant career - How a $20K investment and Craigslist chef shaped East Hamptonโ€™s early days - The balance of creativity and discipline in full-service dining - Building menus for flavor, efficiency, and profitability Lessons learned from private equity and selling his first concept - Why restaurant success is often more about square footage than food 3:20 - Dropping out of Law school to pursue a career in the restaurant industry 10:31 - Lessons learned from working the back of the house 14:01 - Developing and opening East Hampton Sandwich Co. 23:47 - How to build a menu 29:44 - The importance of seat count 34:57 - How DoorDash killed the fast-casual restaurant 37:02 - Service vs. product in the success of a restaurant 42:21 - Blocking and tackling in the business 44:06 - Where people fail in the restaurant industry 49:56 - Selling East Hampton 52:56 - Cloud Kitchens 54:43 - Developing Hudson House 58:01 - Determining seat count ratios 1:01:03 - Lessons from working with PE 1:05:29 - Sources of turnover in restaurants 1:06:49 - Why certain concepts donโ€™t work in different cities 1:08:48 - The impact of real estate on restaurants 1:12:02 - Creating new concepts vs. acquisitions

All four other exchange markets have been banned by either Canada or the province of Ontario. Thank you for all your suggestions. I have tried various methods, but my fellow Canadian pioneers and I have been unsuccessful in making any purchases. We either cannot find Canada as an option or are informed that it is not allowed in Ontario. However, I was able to successfully acquire my Pi from Gate, with the help of Mr. Daniel, the Head of GCV Ambassador in China.โœŒ๏ธโœŒ๏ธโœŒ๏ธ In a video by a Chinese cryptocurrency analyst, it was mentioned that there is some dealers trying to manipulate the price downward. They are buying and selling at the same time. Additionally, 90% of transactions show less than 10 Pi. This indicates they are nearly running out of low-priced Pi. There is high demand to buy Pi, but very few normal sellers. Almost all Pioneers are holding onto their Pi instead of selling, which means there isn't enough supply available. As more people want to buy, they won't be able to purchase back the Pi. Eventually, they will run out of Pi. And if we all sell by GCV, the price will be GCV. So it will not run as traditional crypto currency because strong community consensus at $314,159! This situation can explain why there have been so many attacks and rumors designed to prevent you from buying. If many Pioneers start purchasing, they can no longer maintain the low price, and GCV will win! Buying Pi at the current low price not only helps stabilize the coin within GCV but also presents a great opportunity for you to earn a significant profit, as we are currently at the bottom price. But of course please don't sell even you earn profit until GCV! If you haven't migrated your Pi yet, now is a great chance to buy 10 Pi. This allows you to enjoy the real benefits of OM, and it's also an excellent opportunity for outside investors. Currently, the mining speed is very slow. After OM launches, it may slow down even more. It's possible that you might not be able to get 1 Pi or even 0.1 Pi in a year. So, this is a good opportunity. However, please do not borrow money to make a purchase. Buying 10 Pi, which costs less than $20 now, is sufficient. You don't need to buy a lot, as itโ€™s important to leave some for outside investors.๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Doris Yin ๐Ÿชท๐Ÿชท๐Ÿชท

I analyzed 107 market crashes from 1929 to 2025 and found that 94% follow one of four recovery patterns. Before sharing them with you, let's understand why it's important to learn about them. If you can predict the type of market recovery pattern, you can predict movements and timelines. If you can predict the timeline, you can predict exactly when to enter and exit a trade. And ultimately, you can profit from any market crash. Here are the 4 recovery patterns Iโ€™ve identified: Pattern #1: V-Shaped Recovery (18% of crashes) The market crashes hard and bounces back fast. Everyone hopes for this, but it's rareโ€”less than one in five crashes. Pattern #2: U-Shaped Recovery (Most Common) The market crashes, stays down for 6-18 months, then recovers. This is what actually happens most of the time. Pattern #3: W-Shaped Recovery (The Double Dip) The market crashes, starts recovering (fake out), then crashes harder. This one destroys people emotionally because they get hit twiceโ€”buying the first dip, then selling the second crash. Pattern #4: L-Shaped Recovery (7% of crashes) The market crashes and stays depressed for years. Japan 1989 took 30 years to recover. But this is extremely rare. โ€” This is just one of the topics covered from my 19-minute recording on analyzing market crashes. We also talked about the optimal buying window (when to enter for maximum returns), which sectors recover first, and how to scale in without going all-in too early. Just comment "CRASH" and I'll send you the full video if you'd like to watch it.

142 people downloaded my Hermes Bots mobile app 43 of you sent feedback. I implemented all of it. I respect Nous Research and I don't want to get in any conflict. With that said... The app has a new name and icon: Herald, Companion for Hermes Agent. Still my unofficial app, now a lot closer to what you asked for. Hereโ€™s what changed ๐Ÿ‘‡ Setup is much easier Run npx herald-setup on your computer. It configures Hermes, Tailscale, and a password. Scan the QR code and connect. You can also enter a Tailscale name, IP, or domain. Herald handles port and HTTPS detection. Pairing the same machine again updates it instead of creating duplicates, and the app handles signing back in after authentication errors. All your Bots in one place Connect multiple computers and see their Bots in one roster. Search across Bots, groups, and machines, with indicators showing whoโ€™s awake, working, or offline. Start a session in Telegram, your terminal, or Hermes Desktop and continue from your phone. Bots on different machines can join the same group, and the Kanban board now has activity badges. Photos, video, and audio inside the conversation Attach photos and they stay in the thread as thumbnails, even after you reopen the chat. An SVG your Bot drew, an MP3 it recorded, or a video it rendered now appears inline instead of as a file path. Tap to view full screen, share, or play directly in the chat. Media comes from your own Hermes and is cached on your phone. A much better chat experience Select and copy messages, copy code blocks with one tap, and preview HTML or SVG without leaving the conversation. Voice notes and dictation run through your own Hermes. On Android, long code blocks no longer trap your scrolling, and the keyboard no longer covers the message box. Make it yours Choose an accent color for your send button and your own message bubbles: graphite, slate, blue, green, purple, orange, or the original black and white. Dark mode stays the default, with light mode available too. Every iOS menu now uses a native pull down, and plugin switches reflect whatโ€™s actually running on your computer. Android is here ๐ŸŽ‰ The roster loads even when Hermes is slow, and screens recover from errors instead of crashing the app. Push notifications are also wired up for both iOS and Android. Three days ago, this was an app I built for myself. Your feedback is helping turn it into something useful for everyone. Thank you for testing it and telling me what needed fixing โค๏ธ Iโ€™m now starting the store submission process for iOS and Android

Nathan rolled up 11 tiny (<$1M EBITDA) HVAC companies, paying low 3x multiples. Now PE is interested in buying the group, and Nathan is already planning to do it all over again. โ€œI see a lot of opportunity in taking these really small mom-and-pop shops and building them up to the lower end of what a PE firm would be interested in acquiring. You can pick them up at 3x, sell them at 10x and repeat that process over and over.โ€ But this story almost ended before it began... After acquiring his first two companies with an SBA loan, Nathan watched revenue collapse, burned through his cash, nearly lost his father's retirement savings and came dangerously close to bankruptcy. The turning point was a complete rethink of incentives, compensation and how to build an acquisition platform that actually compounds. Give it a listen. I hope you appreciate Nathan Lindley extreme transparency on everything, even him sharing how he overcame daily stress through drinking and how, to this day, he is still paying down his SBA note of $8,500 a monthโ€ฆ Year six of 10 years on that. Todd Standing: Real Experiencer or Hoaxer? My Honest Take (and Why I Canโ€™t Fully Trust Him) Todd Standing. Super controversial, and my gut screams โ€œnarcissistโ€โ€”he comes across way too needy for people to believe him, almost giddy for validation as the one whoโ€™ll finally prove Sasquatch. Iโ€™ll admit right up front that I donโ€™t like Toddโ€™s demeanorโ€”itโ€™s full-scale cringe. That can taint my opinion, and I own it. Iโ€™m 100% convinced Bigfoot is real (my account shows I chase real evidence: tracks, audio, sightings). But belief doesnโ€™t mean buying every claim. His most well-known stuffโ€”the crisp โ€œJakeโ€ and โ€œJaneโ€ facesโ€”still feels off, and this Gaia clip only heightens the suspicion. In this Gaia footage Todd treats the creatures like personal buddies and mentors, zooming in on eye spacing and head size while framing himself as uniquely trusted. Dramatic, spiritual, heavy on the โ€œIโ€™m the chosen connectorโ€ vibe. Pair that with the recent Cabin in the Woods defense by Robert Maxwell (needle scaling arguing massive heads, rebuttals to image manipulation and props, eye sizing). They make some strong technical points. Iโ€™ll link Robertโ€™s full video in the replies. Dr. Jeff Meldrum is consistently objective and measured in his language. He calls the portraits some of the most astounding in history, notes they give the feeling of looking into a real creatureโ€™s eyes, and finds them worthy of serious study with โ€œpotential authenticity.โ€ Heโ€™s diplomatic, intrigued by anatomy/gait/variations, and had his own sighting with Toddโ€”but he doesnโ€™t go full โ€œ100% proven, unmanipulated Sasquatch.โ€ As Meldrum leaned toward authentic, I actually lean toward hoax. Hereโ€™s my specific suspicion as someone pretty handy with Photoshop: If I really worked at it with the right tools and time, I could take a human face (Toddโ€™s or similar), enlarge the upper head proportionally (20-30%), preserve the core features, add fur texture, composite it into the forest with foreground needles, and create something that looks exactly like the Jake stills/video frames. And as the Cabin defense itself demonstrates when they morph/scale the upper portion of Toddโ€™s head to Jakeโ€™s, the proportions line up eerily well once adjusted for size. Todd even does the head-size demoโ€”glasses, rulerโ€”looking genuinely excited that his own head couldnโ€™t possibly match. This is just a hypothesis I want to rule out before making any firmer judgments. Without raw, unedited video files (full metadata, longer takes, multiple angles), we canโ€™t verify whether simple post-production enlargement or compositing happened. Todd releases edited clips, cites protection/editing choices, and teases โ€œmore coming,โ€ but that selective patternโ€”plus his production background and history of selling โ€œultimate proofโ€ DVDsโ€”keeps the red flags flying. VFX/forensic analysts (Poling & Falconerโ€™s detailed NAWAC document is taken as gospel by a lot of the Bigfoot community) still flag unnatural lighting, movement, and lack of dynamic biology. In the spirit of fairness, I must add that โ€œKabota,โ€ with the dark face and wrinkles, is much more intriguing to me. With Meldrum, Iโ€™m saying that looks far more authentic than the others. Iโ€™d love to do a more focused analysis of that video if Todd ever releases more details about it. The bottom line: I truly think Todd had real experiences. But I strongly suspect he is also a hoaxer and therefore should not be trusted. I feel exactly the same way about Dr. Steven Greer in the UFO worldโ€”I think he had genuine alien contact but also faked flares for his paying followers. Once someone does that, they must be called out and not trusted. I do not see this as โ€œTodd is full of crap and Bigfoot isnโ€™t real.โ€ I see Todd as a dedicated experiencer *and* hoaxer. This is a family squabble as opposed to a tribal war. I would be cautious about trusting his presented evidence as authentic Bigfoot footage. But donโ€™t dismiss the whole Sasquatch phenomenon eitherโ€”real ones are elusive masters of the forest, not known to pose for crisp portraits. In fact, everything Iโ€™ve seen points to the exact opposite. Theyโ€™ll connect with trusted people and decline recordings. I could be wrongโ€”happy to be proven so. What do you think after seeing the Gaia clip? Did you watch the full Cabin in the Woods defense? Did Meldrumโ€™s measured take or the head-size demo change your mind on โ€œJake,โ€ or does the digital-alteration possibility (and raw-footage gap) raise the same flags for you? Civil discussion pleaseโ€”whatโ€™s your take on Toddโ€™s claims? ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿž๐Ÿ‘ฃ #Sasquatch #ToddStanding

Some Big Numbers To Get Excited About Regular readers will know I often write of frustration at not moving fast enough. This mission I am on is really hard and sometimes it can seem impossibly big when I am down in the weeds dealing with dog issues on a daily basis. I have to say though that writing this tonight and looking through some numbers I feel for the first time that I am starting to make some large scale progressโ€ฆ A Second Island ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿฅฅ I live and help the dogs on the island of Koh Samui. There is an island of equal size called Koh Phangan just across the water. You probably have heard of it as the home of the world famous Full Moon Party. They have a similar problem with street dogs. Since the the 1st May I have starting funding a wonderful foundation called PACS to sterilise dogs there. They are starting with 50 this month. This is going to stop 1000s of future puppies. A big step. 90,000 Meals Served in 2023 So Far ๐Ÿฅ˜๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณ The cooking never stops. The dogs are all starting to benefit from a consistent and healthy meal per day. All the food is prepared in a central kitchen and handed out to volunteers to feed their dogs. With 5000 meals served per week around the island it blows my mind that soon we will serve the 100,000th wholesome plate of food in 2023. It wasnโ€™t that long ago I was driving around on my moped with a 10kg bag of dry food feeding a paltry 20 dogs per day on my own. 7 Puppies Re-Homed ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ  In the last couple of weeks there have been 25-30 puppies show up. It can be incredibly tough to find them homes but thanks to a great Thai lady I have been able to get 7 into their forever homes around the country. It has involved a lot of vet visits, 1000kms of travel and lots of expense but that is 7 dogs who have a future now who wouldnโ€™t have made it otherwise. 2 Miracles For Lady ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š The first miracle for Lady was the fact that she got off the street and was able to start walking a little again despite her two broken hips. Weโ€™ve been getting her a lot of treatment and she is thriving. Her 2nd miracle was when a lovely newly retired gentleman called Jamie spotted her and offered Lady a forever home to live out her life right here on the island. Nobody usually wants old and sick dogs so this incredibly selfless act is the huge slice of luck that Lady deserved after all the suffering she has endured. The Best Day Of Tinaโ€™s Life ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿฅฐ Tina was used for breeding puppies. We all saw the horrendous state she was in when she was rescued. Last week she was well enough to be sterilised so as she never has to have another puppy in her life again. It might seem like a small footnote in the bigger scheme of things but it was a moment of closure for this wonderful lady who has suffered so much. She can now just focus on being a dog for for the first time in her life and sharing all the love she has to give. Tina was the 521st dog I have sterilised since starting. King Whacker Of Scotland ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟโœˆ๏ธ Whacker is a very special dog who was one of the first arrivals back in November. Someone had tried to kill him with a pick axe. After recovering he turned into a true gent and is the big boss at the land. I promised he would never have to go back on the streets and this week after a process to find him the right home he got the news that he will be heading to Glasgow. Long live Whacker, the King of Scotland. 125 Dogs To Be Sterilised In May โœ‚๏ธ๐Ÿ• I spoke about how abstract sterilising can be for many people to understand but it is what will save the most dogs from suffering. In all of 2022 I was able to do 302 dogs. In the month of May alone I have a minimum target to fund 125. In June I hope to take that to 250 dogs for the month. Not easy and very expensive but Iโ€™m putting the groundwork in place to scale this up. Nothing is more important. Little Rodney was in getting the snip last week as one of the dogs this month. 7 European Dogs ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ›ซ By the end of June there will be 7 dogs who have traveled to Europe. Lottie, Hope, King Whacker, Rodney and Moritz will join Little Squeak and Peaches who just arrived in Germany. I canโ€™t explain how hard it is to figure all this stuff out and get the processes in place. Iโ€™m focusing on Europe now as it is the easiest for travel and paperwork but the rest of the world will happen soon too. Itโ€™s only 7 dogs but seeing them in their homes or about to travel makes me so happy and proud for them all. Progress The suffering I see on a daily basis for street dogs means that I am never really happy with the speed and progress of my mission. I just want to help them all immediately but that isnโ€™t possible. Having said that, reading this update and knowing what else is coming in the pipeline makes me feel that I am making genuine progress. Between food, funding sterilisations, medical care and re-homing dogs I can genuinely now say Iโ€™m helping 100s of dogs per month but also stopping the suffering of 1000s in the future. As I always say I could never do any of this without the online support and good wishes of everybody on the mission with me. I donโ€™t feel like I am alone doing this. My role is to make sure I donโ€™t waste all the support and ensure I think of ways to move faster and execute accordingly. A lot done, a lore more to do. Big Love Niall P.S You can always support by donating here...

how Iโ€™m building fractl for a $10M exit in 6 months, so I can produce my dream musical ๐ŸŽค๐ŸŽฌ I don't know how ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ That's what the show is about ha. Figuring it out, in real time. Wish me luck lol fractl's new docu-series โ€˜โ€˜The Crypto Hustleโ€™ launches feb 26. Final-fucking-ly. thank you Superteam Canada & Solana for the funding and for making Episode 1 possible ๐Ÿฅฐ For those of you who are new here, hiiii ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ my name is Rime Salmi, I'm an artist who accidentally built the biggest investor network in web3. And now we're producing a 12 episode documentary about how I'm working my way back to being an artist, with funding. the origin story. when I crashed with the last crypto cycle, back to zero (plus tax) at my grown age, I had to ask myself what the hell I was gonna do with my life. I always just wanted be an artist. With agency. So i worked and paid for everything, studio, music videos, started a record label, all that to keep my artistic freedom, for my entire career. Had some success, lots of failed experiments, lots of tears, and lots of fun. After I lost everything to the terra luna crash (mistakes were made ๐Ÿฅฒ), I had to figure out how I would fund the dream next. I needed a break from the emotional roller coaster of trading crypto, so I went back to school for the grant money (thank you government of Canada). I relocated to madrid for a change, and started making tiktoks. Skits that I thought were funny. Skits that i thought were risky but honest and necessary. Iโ€™ve always loved saying out loud what others are ashamed to even think ๐Ÿค“ if you follow me on ig or tt you know ha I was having a blast. Creating all day. Some tiktoks took off. Ones that felt very personal. I felt seen. I was at my happiest, filming, editing, singing and pretending to listen in class, for the grant money. Then it hit me. That's what i want. I wanna be telling stories. I dont wanna be just a singer, just a songwriter, just an actress waiting for auditions to come my way. I wanna do it all, tell more stories, write and produce them. soโ€ฆA musical? But I hate musicals ๐Ÿ˜ญ why do they start singing in the middle of a conversation?!? whyyyyy A musical for people who don't like musicals??!!! ๐Ÿฅน Thatโ€™s it!! A MUSICAL FOR PEOPLE WHO DONT LIKE MUSICALS ๐Ÿคฉ DONE. So from the lowest of my finances, in the middle of career confusion, with a bruised ego from failing so miserably at my first crypto cycle, I found something great to get excited about for the rest of my life. I needed to validate the feasibilityโ€ฆ because I know Iโ€™m a dreamer who gets shit done, but Iโ€™m very much a idealist. so I asked my good friend of mine and the producer of my first 2 albums Benny Adam (now a rising star, this is me clout chasing) for advice. I asked him: โ€˜is this too much? For me to wanna produce a whole as* Netflix series, music and all?? Heโ€™s the most talented, ambitious yet realistic guy I know. And I knew he would tell it to me like it is, but kindly. Because heโ€™s also a nice human ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฝ โ€˜So?? Is it too big of a project??โ€™ He pausedโ€ฆ I looked at him, hopeful ๐Ÿฅน โ€˜Ya. Itโ€™s a reeeally big project ๐Ÿ˜•โ€™, he said. Fuck. and then he paused, again. Just tell me, I thought. Tell me aaaall the reasons this is a bad ideaโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜ž beat. โ€˜But if anyone can do it, itโ€™s youโ€™ cue inspiring battle field music Reeeallyyyyy? ๐Ÿฅน I teared up. Iโ€™m tearing up now writing this. Because at that low point in my life, thatโ€™s what I needed. Just one person who really knew me, to remind me, despite my circumstances, of who I am and what Iโ€™m capable of. That Iโ€™m crazy, yes, but in a good way ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘ˆ๐Ÿฝ Shokran Benny. I donโ€™t think you know how much that meant to me (Iโ€™m gonna tell him again because heโ€™s on episode 4 of the Crypto Hustle ha) Ok. So. Musical it is. When I ran out of back-to-school government money, and needed to be an adult again, I reintegrated the crypto space, with a purpose. I called my friend and mentor Armando Pantoja and asked him what he thought I should go for in terms of job (I needed a break from entrepreneurship). He said โ€˜Iโ€™ve seen you at conferences, youโ€™re really good with people, you know marketing, and you actually understand crypto. He said go to conferences, youโ€™ll figure it out. Just show upโ€™ I did. I showed up to eth denver 2022 and I started the first iteration of what became fractl as an influencer marketing agency, because I saw a good skill-market fit and because I couldn't find a job lol but I hated it. I dont wanna manage influencers, I don't wanna manage artists. Iโ€™m an artist, I would never manage me, that's crazy ๐Ÿ˜‚ One thing led to the other I became a fractional CMO. An opinionated one ๐Ÿค“ I found myself always trying to lead founders towards personal storytellingโ€ฆ suggesting they put themselves out there more. I really believed that it would help them build trust in a space that so desperately needs it. Then, I started hosting our investor events (to get leads for the agency), and saw the struggle of founders building and fundraising at the same time and the original idea for this show started to form. We need bolder marketing in this space. What if we followed these founders around the world at all these conferences and followed their journey, building a company, raising, launching a token, failing. In these ruthless markets, with the drama of personal sacrificesโ€ฆ I could see it so clearly ๐Ÿ˜ƒ So I started pitching it. THE BEST MARKETING CAMPAIGN EVER GUYS!! WHO'S IN?? No one. I couldn't convince a single founder of the vision.๐Ÿฅฒ Maybe I wasnโ€™t qualified enough in their eyes to carry out such a big vision, following multiple founders on a 6 month production around the world. They were probably right lol But Iโ€™m also a little crazy. And really really stubborn. That's something right?? A few months later, inspiration still strong, I told pablo erminy who's worked on multiple Netflix shows about it and he said: โ€˜why dont you just tell YOUR story? You have a great story, people will wanna watch you build in public to fund your artist dream. As a first reality tv production, one story is more than enough to handle.โ€™ Wise man. Maybe i did underestimate how complex a multi-lead, international, real-time, film production would be ๐Ÿ˜ฌ Done. because I know great advice when I hear it. PIVOT! ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ So thatโ€™s how โ€™The Crypto Hustleโ€™ was born. This journey I was trying to sell to other founders, I would do it for myself. show not tell. Now the funding. I tried selling the project to sponsors on and off for over a year, between the normal fractl operations, hiring, training, firing, messing up, learning. And only ended up spreading myself so thin, that I neglected the core business. Company became a mess (for others reasons too, that I will come up on the show, hint: boys) Bottom line is, we lost more money than we made, trying to sell a show. I should've known. Film fundraising is a producerโ€™s full time job lol Fast forward 1 year, 2 pilots and a near bankruptcy later, Iโ€™m now launching Episode 1 from Korea and just wrapping episode 2 from Hong Kong. No funding. (except for Episode 1, thank you again Superteam Canada ๐Ÿฅฐ) Fuck it. Might not be the big production I had envisioned, but all the core principles and the emotions, and team talent is there.. An MVP. Now. because waiting for things to align would just delay this indefinitely. And because I have more conviction than ever. not only in authentic storytelling as the best marketing, but also because my soul needs this. I need creativity to keep going. If i stay too long in business mode without publishing art, stories, songs, dances, funny skits, I find no reason to wake up in the morning. Not to be dramatic, but I really only wanna be an artist ๐Ÿ˜‚ Also, the timing IS ideal. because in my mess, I got lucky ๐Ÿฅฐ I found a production team that felt right instantly. Love at first meeting. not only are they aligned with the docu-series concept, but with the end vision too. The cultural impact I wanna have with the musical. vegetable Badr, Momo, @JuicySocialAgency, you're my favorite part of 2026 ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฝ So here we are. About to launch episode 1. Documenting the process of building fractl for a $10M exit in 6 MONTHS, so i can produce my dream musical ๐Ÿฅฐ Itโ€™s about to be epic. Or a massive failure, in public. can girl with the pink hair make this happen? ๐Ÿ‘€ let the adventure begin ๐Ÿ’šโ˜บ๏ธ full episodes will be on my youtube channel. go subscribe ok?

Greg Isenberg broke down a 35-step playbook for building AI startups from zero to $1M+/year. 4 businesses, all profitable, no VC money I compressed it into 12 rules that actually matter: 1. ride a trend, don't create one: find a niche where demand already exists but tools are 5 years behind. if people are complaining in reddit threads and facebook groups.. that's your market 2. audience before product: master ONE platform. set notifications for 10 niche leaders, reply with real insight (not "great post!"), gain 5-10 followers daily. this compounds into an unfair advantage when you launch 3. validate with wallets, not surveys: if nobody will pre-pay at 50-70% off for something that doesn't exist yet.. they won't pay full price either. your audience becomes your investors 4. vibe code the MVP: use Cursor/Bolt/V0 to ship v1 in days not months. the goal isn't perfect code, it's proving people will use it. polish comes after revenue 5. keep the team at zero: AI is your co-founder now. Manus for research, ChatGPT for PRDs, Claude Design for design, Cursor for code. most $1M/yr businesses in 2026 run with 1-3 people max 6. automate before you hire: find the 3-step process you do 10x a day that takes 5 minutes each time. automate that first. Lindy, Gumloop, Zapier. work toward 90%+ automation 7. retention before growth: fixing churn is 10x more valuable than doubling acquisition. run retention sprints before growth sprints. most founders do this backwards and wonder why revenue flatlines 8. modular pricing kills one-size-fits-all: free tier for top of funnel, $29 for individuals, $299 for teams, $3K for enterprise. let the product sell itself at every level 9. partner with creators instead of buying ads: offer 1-20% equity or 20-50% rev share to creators with your audience. one partnership can outperform 6 months of paid marketing 10. build free tools for distribution: a public-facing calculator, checker, or generator drives organic traffic AND trains AI search to recommend you. this is the new SEO 11. think portfolio, not single product: once business #1 is profitable, repeat the process. share infrastructure, cross-promote, create a flywheel. Walt Disney didn't build one ride 12. ship something new every 30 days: a culture of shipping beats a culture of planning. new MVP monthly, acquire underperforming products with distribution upside, recruit operators to run them what actually compounds in 2026: - audience before product, not the other way - pre-selling before building - 1-person teams running $1M businesses with AI - retention over acquisition, always - portfolios over single bets - shipping over strategizing the cost of building has never been lower.. billions of people with credit cards are reachable through social media the only bottleneck left is you actually starting full 30-min breakdown from GREG ISENBERG attached below โ†“ study this P.S. left 20 not taken startup ideas below which you can take and start growing

MrBeast found four other lunatics online. Three college dropouts. One high school dropout. One guy who quit his job. They talked on Skype every day for 1000 days straight. 7am to 10pm. Then sleep. Then do it again. One of them became the biggest YouTuber on the planet. He spent 10 minutes explaining what they studied: Here's why having the right people accelerates everything. "Imagine working solo. 12 hours a day for a year. You make a mistake, you learn from it. You grind." "Now imagine four friends equally grinding on something similar." "Friend one makes a mistake on Friday. Teaches the other four. Friend two makes a mistake the next week. Teaches everyone." "You're all learning from each other's mistakes. Constantly studying 24/7. Downloading each other." "After a year, you're like 2 years ahead of the guy who was solo." They studied thumbnails obsessively. "We'd take a thousand thumbnails and see if there's a correlation between the brightness and how many views it got." "Something a lot of people forget: on phones, thumbnails are really small. People edit thumbnails full-blown on their computer. When you shrink it down, you can't see anything." Your title and thumbnail set expectations. Then you must exceed them. "At the very beginning of the video, to minimize drop off, you want to assure them that those expectations are being met." "If you're putting a million Orbeez in a pool, don't start the video with you shopping for your mom's birthday present." "Just say: this is 100 million Orbeez. We're going to fill this pool and this entire backyard with them." "Match the expectations. Then exceed them. Blow their mind. Be like: you're also getting even more." Anyone can clickbait. The difference is delivery. "We say we put 100 million Orbeez in the backyard. We put 100 million Orbeez in the backyard." Here's the algorithm truth no one wants to hear. "Anytime you say the word algorithm, just replace it with audience." "The algorithm didn't like that video? No. The audience didn't like that video." "If you're not retaining a viewer, would it make sense to promote it? Why would you promote a 10-minute video that people watch on average a minute and a half?" "Literally all the algorithm does is reflect what the people want. If you deny that, you just make terrible videos and are trying to find a scapegoat." His reinvestment strategy was relentless: "For the last eight or nine years, every dollar I've made, I just spent it the next month on content." "I just did that every single month. It just kept getting bigger and bigger. And here we are." Meanwhile, he lived in a $700/month duplex. Split with a roommate. $360 each. "Living your life chasing a nicer and nicer car and a bigger and bigger box to live in is kind of a dumb way to go about life." He only moved because someone broke in and stole everything. "I had to get a little nicer house for security reasons." On obsession: "Since I was 13, there probably hasn't been a single hour that's gone by that I've been awake where I haven't thought about YouTube." "I'm just focused on making the best videos possible, period." "I don't care about making money. I don't care about time. I just want to make the best videos on the planet." The effort is insane. "Sometimes we're filming for 3 or 4 days. 10 hours a day. 30, 40 hours of filming plus months of setup." "Most creators probably film for a couple hours and set up for a day." "We brainstorm video ideas relentlessly. Hours every day." "By always doing all those things, it just distinctively sets it so far apart that in my head it's like: why would you not watch it?" Viewers aren't stupid. "They can tell when you half-ass a video or if you really put in effort." "If they can tell you're putting in a lot of effort, they're going to be more likely to click on future videos." "Once you build that trust, they get to a point where it doesn't matter what you upload. They just know it's high effort. They're just conditioned to watch because you have a good track record." On why most creators burn out: "A lot of people aren't willing to put in 10-hour days because they don't like what they're doing." "If you don't enjoy it, you're going to burn out. You're doing this for years, not months." "I just had the blessing of finding what I loved at a young age." "To get to this level, it takes a decade. Most people don't find what they love till their young 20s. So they'd be where I'm at in their 30s." "I just lucked out and found it when I was really young." One insight changed everything: "Only 10% of the world speaks English. 90% of the world can't even watch your content." "When I realized that, I was like: wait a minute." "We started doing dubs like 6 months ago. It's crazy how viral some of these videos go. 51 million views in Spanish." "The guy who does my dubs is the same guy who dubs Spider-Man." Here's the math most creators get wrong: "It's much easier to get 5 million views on one video than 50,000 views on 100 videos." "Takes way less effort." This 10 minute video will teach you more about content, obsession, and why most creators stay small than every course combined. Bookmark & give it 10 minutes today, no matter what.

This Chinese guy created agents in Claude Code for landing pages and single-handedly serves 47 small businesses a month, taking $400 from each. He built a system of 7 agents on Claude Sonnet 4.6 that analyzes Google Maps in small towns, finds small businesses without websites there, and over 1 weekend takes each one to a finished mockup with video and cold message. No assistant, no sales team, no SDR. Just him, a MacBook, an iPhone, and 1 API key. And traditional web design agencies keep teams of 8 people on salary for the same order flow, while his expenses are only tokens and subscriptions to Lovable, Higgsfield, and Calendly. 7 agents work through 1 orchestrator on Claude Code Router. Usage is about 3 million tokens a day, the average API bill is about $480 a month. All 7 go through MCP servers and write shared state to the file system, without shared state in memory and without race conditions, and 1 of them lives right in the iPhone and picks up positive replies from the subway, a taxi, or on walks. And here is the system prompt he put into the orchestrator before launch: "You are the orchestrator of a solo agency that sells ready-made websites to local businesses. You delegate read-only tasks to 6 sub-agents and own all writes. sub-agents: // Scout (walks through Google Maps in selected cities, looks for narrow niches: 5+ years on the map, fewer than 50 reviews, no website or a website from 2014, but high ratings) // Diagnoser (for each lead writes a 50-word diagnosis, hero angle, tone matched to the industry, and a cold message under 70 words) // Builder (generates a landing page mockup in Lovable through MCP only for the top 5 leads per day, with the sharpest diagnoses and the biggest gap) // Filmer (pulls 5 screenshots of the mockup and through Higgsfield renders a 10-second vertical video 1080x1920 with a soft zoom) // Pitcher (sends a personalized cold message through the right channel for the niche: email to roofers, SMS to tradesmen, IG DM to salons, LinkedIn to realtors) // Checker (runs every message through evals for personalization, absence of AI markers and buzzwords before sending) // Mobile (lives in the iPhone, handles positive replies in real time, books Zoom calls in Calendly through MCP while the owner is on the go). You never let 2 sub-agents touch 1 lead. You stop and request approval from the human only when a deal exceeds $3,000 or the reply rate in a niche for the day drops below 12%." Meaning the system knows what it is and within what boundaries it is allowed to act. It knows it is supposed to find leads on its own. It knows it is supposed to take each one to a mockup, video, and cold message without intervention. It knows the human only steps in when a deal goes above $3,000 or the reply rate stops converging. โ†’ The system runs 24 hours a day โ†’ Scout goes through about 220 local businesses on Google Maps per day and leaves 30 new leads in the queue โ†’ Diagnoser outputs 30 structured diagnoses + briefs + cold messages per day โ†’ Builder assembles 3 to 5 finished landing pages in Lovable for the sharpest leads โ†’ Filmer renders a 10-second vertical video in Higgsfield for each one โ†’ Pitcher sends 30 personalized messages per day across 4 channels with a reply rate of about 14% โ†’ Checker runs every message through evals before sending And only when a deal breaks $3,000 or the reply rate for the day drops below 12% does the orchestrator wake the owner. And when the owner at that moment is sitting in the subway or a taxi, the Mobile agent in his iPhone picks up 1 move on its own: replies to a fresh positive reply from a dentist, books a Zoom through Calendly synced to the local time of the client, and puts the lead back in the queue. The owner only has to tap "approve" and in just 10 minutes join the call. Here is what the system writes in his log during 1 of the Saturdays: "scout report: 218 businesses checked in Austin, Denver, and Miami, 34 without a website, 19 with a website from 2014, 6 with an active redesign request in reviews. passing top 30 to diagnoser." "pitcher: 30 cold messages sent across 4 channels, 14 replies, 5 positive, 3 Zoom calls booked for Sunday. passing to closer." "builder: landing page for Westside Cosmetic Dentistry built in Lovable, 5 sections, mobile, soft beige. URL placed at /Users/dev/maps-agency/clients/westside/v1. filmer launching Higgsfield." "eval flag: deal with The Lotus Salon at $3,400 exceeds the approved limit of $3,000. sending for manual review." He has no server of his own and no separate backend. Just a local file sandbox at /Users/dev/maps-agency, an MCP router, 1 API key to Claude, and the same key forwarded to Claude Code on his iPhone. Out of everything I have seen this year, this is the cleanest one-person agency for selling websites to small businesses: $480 a month on the API, about $18,800 into the account, and between them 7 prompts, 1 file system, and 1 phone in the pocket.

Tim Hortons finally picks the right fight โ€” but I'm still not coming back Pretending Harry Potter is now forbidden literature because its author refuses to embrace gender ideology is absurd. I have to admit something I never thought I'd say. Good for Tim Hortons. Not because of a new coffee. Not because they finally figured out how to make a decent breakfast sandwich again. And certainly not because they've earned back the loyalty of millions of Canadians they've spent years alienating by unemploying their children in favour of cheap foreign labour. No, this time they deserve credit because they refused to cave to the outrage mob. But I am suspicious of the motives. And I'll explain why in a minute. But first. The controversy. Tim Hortons is launching a Harry Potter promotion to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first film. It's exactly the kind of harmless, nostalgic marketing campaign that any normal company would dream up. Collectible merchandise. Special menu items. Trivia nights. A chance to win a trip to London. Sounds fun, right? Cute. Apparently not if you're a professional activist. Within hours, the online outrage machine was in full swing. Calls to boycott Tim Hortons. Social media branding the company "TERF-Hortons." Activists insisting that selling Harry Potter merchandise somehow amounts to endorsing hate. Because, of course, everything has to be political. The taxpayer-funded advocacy group Egale Canada even weighed in, scolding Tim Hortons for partnering with a franchise created by J.K. Rowling. According to them, Canada's self-appointed coffee chain isn't sufficiently reflecting the country's commitment to diversity and inclusion. Translation? You must submit to the approved ideology or face public shaming. Sorry crybabies, but some things are just about fun books and donuts. Then came the predictable parade of complaints. CBC highlighted employees who said they felt hurt by the promotion. I'm shocked they could find a Canadian one, so good for them. Trudeau-appointed Senator Kris Wells demanded Tim Hortons make Pride Timbits instead, calling the Harry Potter campaign "tone-deaf." Imagine being offended by a fictional wizard in a book. Here's the thing. Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has never said transgender people shouldn't have rights. She has consistently argued something much simpler: biological sex exists, women deserve sex-based protections, and people shouldn't lose their jobs or reputations for saying so. You may agree with her or disagree with her. That's your right. But pretending Harry Potter is now forbidden literature because its author refuses to embrace gender ideology is absurd. Millions of Canadians grew up with these books. They just like Harry Potter. And for once, Tim Hortons seems to understand that. The company politely thanked everyone for their opinions and essentially said, "We're celebrating one of the world's most beloved franchises." End of story. That's exactly how corporations should respond. Not with another grovelling apology. Not with another diversity consultant. Not by firing up the corporate confession machine every time a few hundred people on X get angry. Just say, "No thanks," and "settle down, you online hysterics." It's refreshing. But here's where my applause ends. Because let's not pretend Tim Hortons suddenly became the good guys. This company spent years becoming the poster child for Canada's Temporary Foreign Worker program. While Canadian teenagers struggled to find summer jobs... While young adults sent out rรฉsumรฉ after rรฉsumรฉ... Tim Hortons locations across the country were repeatedly accused of relying on temporary foreign workers instead. That wasn't a made-up controversy. It was real. Conservatives weren't imagining it. Many Canadians felt betrayed watching the country's most iconic coffee chain prioritize access to foreign labour and lobbying for changes to temporary foreign work requirements while local workers were looking for opportunities. That did real damage to Tim Hortons' reputation. Deserved damage. Which makes me wonder if this culture-war fight isn't just a little convenient. Maybe someone in the marketing department realized they needed a win with conservative Canadians. Maybe they figured standing up to the woke mob would rebuild some goodwill. If that's what they're doing, it probably will work for some people. And to those people I say, fair enough. I can't believe I am saying this, but I genuinely applaud Tim Hortons for refusing to surrender to ideological crybullying. Corporate Canada desperately needs more backbone. We have spent years watching companies race to apologize for imaginary offences and then pay a shakedown to activist groups as an indulgence for their sins. Maybe this is the beginning of that ending. I hope so. But as for me? One good decision doesn't erase years of bad ones. Standing up to the gender activists doesn't undo the damage done through the abuse of the Temporary Foreign Worker program. You don't rebuild trust overnight. So yes, good on Tim Hortons for telling the tone police to take a hike. Good on them for refusing to let taxpayer-funded activists dictate what's acceptable to enjoy. But if they're hoping this Harry Potter promotion is enough to bring conservatives flooding back through the drive-thru... They're going to need more than a little magic.
