@XlipDev @UnrealEngine as good as this looks, there is still something uncanny about the movement that makes it look robotic. maybe bc the eyes look dead?

Tutorial video on how to test face tracking in Unity with face tracking hardware is here! This is probably the question I get asked the most, so I'm happy I finally got a chance to make a tutorial on this. This example demonstrates doing it with a Quest Pro using Virtual Desktop, but it should work with any headset. I've also done it with an iPhone and Bigscreen beyon 2e + Vive face tracker Next one I make will show how to do it without any hardware :D . . . . . Please keep in mind this video is intended for people who are already familiar with Unity and avatar creation or editing. This is the best and easiest way to do mocap in Unreal Engine 5 as a solo-dev or team! Rokoko 's suit is really easy-to-setup and makes animations look triple-A with little to no retouches, I have been using it for 6 months and I love it.

fable, I want you to grab a MetaHuman file off of Unreal Engine Marketplace or Fab Marketplace or something like that. There should be free ones. Find a character controller that works with that for web and threeJS. Specifically for flying, like Superman, generate a World Labs outdoor environment of your choosing and set up a threeJS project where we can fly around with a character like Superman, with really nice flying animations, camera animations, and camera zoom and shake effects when you're flying. Put some nice post-processing on it with some bloom and grain and stuff like that. Really just make this feel as polished as you can, where we get to fly around in a world where the flight feels similar to Superman. Do it in one shot and without any input from me. optimize it 2 prompts - NOT BAD!! Honestly could get this feeling/looking 10x better with probably 2 more prompts. I'd likely use a larger city GLB, populate the outskirts with World Labs gsplats, manually grab a better character to use, and add some objectives. But I wanted to see what it could do in 1 prompt (basically) Try it out 👇

Here is a full showcase of my custom Source 2-like light baking and probe implementation for Unreal Engine 5. Features showcased: - Volume based probe system (full density control, fade between volumes with a volume fade slider, automatic volume priority and custom priority overrides) - GPU Lightmass with expanded features like a custom denoiser and overall QOL (like a bake volume which only bakes objects inside the volume for fast prototyping) - Custom Box Capture implementation to make it easier to use (basically just a custom way of scaling the box capture component since its so annoying) - A custom fullbright viewport option for easier map editing (without having to get visual clutter in the way) Will eventually release on FAB as a plugin for UE 5.7. - AssetHub officially launched - Using Metahuman Component as parts system in UEFN This is crazy! Just discovered I can use the Metahuman Component in UEFN as a general parts system! Perfect for modular characters. So I had to test it out. First step: character design. With GPT Image 2 I got some really solid characters to work with. These are perfect to test anime/ lowpoly models as well. Gavin Harvey also officially launched so I jumped on a fresh workflow to build the first one. Since I’m aiming for an anime/flat shaded style, I chose Tripo P1 to generate straight to low poly models. Results were perfect for me, UV and textured directly done. Did the main assembly in Blender. I transferred weights onto the new parts (like the jacket here) and used proportional editing to tweak vertices so everything fits together nicely. Then into UEFN / Unreal Engine: For the two-tone shadow look, I made a material that uses the sun direction as a mask. To make all the modular parts work together, I set up a blueprint with the body skeletal mesh as the base, and all the other parts attached as children. Now the really cool part: the Metahuman Component actually lets you plug in extra body parts directly. And every skeletal mesh can have its own Control Rig slot. That means you can layer procedural animations on top of your main animation setup. I used it for procedural eye blinking and hair physics. Since every part is separate, swapping variations is super easy while keeping all animations perfectly synced!

Of course, this procedural bridge could be created with PCG as well, but with Dash, we believe we have made it much simpler, with no need to set up any complex node systems. But the internet was very slow then so it had low frame rates, think 1 frame per second or maybe even 1 frame per multiple seconds I remember especially with MSN Messenger camming got big when I was in high school, you'd buy one for $30 usually from Logitech and connect it Now we all have a webcam integrated in our laptops, and it's a normal part of how we work, doing 1-on-1 or Zoom calls So I wanted to see if I could make modern webcams work on Windows 3.11 in your browser, so I asked Claude to generate its own WEBCAM.EXE while JavaScript pumps the Webcam feed from your computer into the DOS COM4 port And it works! And you can even print your face 😊 Try it on
