I hate that I still have to have this conversation... but I will keep having it in the hopes that at least one person HEARS me... "Twitch do wonderful things but we can always do better... men need to realise the damage they're doing and how they're supressing women on #twitch" Obviously this goes for all online spaces, I was just having a conversation about Twitch but the internet IS a PUBLIC SPACE where you're connected to people from all walks of life. Your words have consequences! Everyone should be safe from abuse etc. It's REALLY not hard to be respectful. TRY imagine if you was in their shoes...

👤 For a while, SVT was very busy, and first of all, they were not in Korea. But they still had to make an album and communicate with each other in a hurry, so in a slightly rougher way, there was no time for "arguing." 👤 So at one one time, a few years ago when they were in Southeast Asia, I specially flew to Southeast Asia to argue with them. 👤 If you watch SVT's documentary, there will be a scene where we are sitting in a hotel, surrounded by a circle, looking like we are seriously discussing, but in fact, I was the one who ran to argue with them. That is, we had to talk about many topics like "what are we thinking now? What do we want?" But at a certain stage, because there was really no time to argue properly, I directly ran to find them. I think this is really very important. Because in the end, the people who understand the album, the song, the lyrics, and everything else the most must be the artists themselves. 👤 To achieve this, one must get involved in their sweat and traces. This is extremely important at any time... I have always thought this way. Forever thankful we have Bumzu hyung to grow up with them and being there with them through the different phase in their journey as an idol🥺🥺

One of the coolest parts of doing this podcast is the ability to get specific advice from amazing people about how to do my job. Peter's advice for me about how to be a better VC was basically to cultivate the ability to know a special person when you meet them. Which may sound unspecific, but I think if it's the central goal is something everyone can get better at, and is likely the most important part of the job.

I decided on an open letter and there are two reasons I can give for this. In the first place, you have been very open about your questions. Second, you are our president, and in this role you are in many ways our representative. I believe there are many Americans who have exactly the same questions that you do. All all of us now have to start looking at each other and saying, ‘we're all Americans and we're better than this. This isn't the way that we want our country to look to our children and look to people around the world.’ We need to stop hating on each other. We need to stop telling other people in the world that the other guy is going to destroy the republic. We need to recognize we're all Americans. We all love our country. It's time now to pray for the president, pray for his family, for President Trump, and to start being kind to each other and to start being generous to each other and to resist all of the implications that we continue in this kind of vitriolic way. You Know Why I Love Japan? Japan is showing all kind of respect to America on our 250th birthday. Europe isn't doing this. Canada isn't doing this. Mexico isn't doing this. All these little Third World pestholes we've been pouring aid into for decades in return for nothing aren't doing this. Japan is doing this. That matters. But you know what else I like about the Japanese? They're a modern society, but they also have a beautiful, old culture. Japanese gardens, Pagodas, Shrines, a belief in duty, and people determined to perfect a craft. They're also more than a little badass. Samurai. Ninja. Bushidō. Miyamoto Musashi. The Book of Five Rings. Hattori Hanzō. Even Godzilla. They didn't just create some monster; they created THE KING OF ALL MONSTERS. Meanwhile, have you ever met Japanese people? I have. I've been to Tokyo, and you know what my impression of them was? They were polite, kind, orderly, law-abiding, clean, and hard-working. The city was safe, the women were attractive, and the food was good (and surprisingly pretty, if you care about that sort of thing). Like every other group of people, the Japanese have their flaws, but they seem to care a lot about their country. They're serious about preserving their culture, and as far as I'm concerned, the world is a better place today because Japan is in it.
