Creator Studio has arrived: $129/yr for a pretty complete toolset. All it’s missing is Aperture

Interestingly Photomator hasn’t been included and remains a separate purchase.

Maybe updates in progress?

Possibly and I hope so. Pixelmator is the only app in Creator Studio that was updated with Liquid Glass. Hopefully we see Photomator updated and included later in the year.

you should dm me if you're looking for the return of Aperture

Pixelmator Pro being finally updated is the best part of this news. I assume Photomator is still being worked on & improved behind the scenes as an eventual quality Aperture replacement.

Aperture. The main reason I shy away from Apple pro apps. Still haven’t forgotten that one…

Apple should release the CS source files that were used to make this video. The Pages script, the Keynote storyboard, the Pixelmator layered bitmaps and vector artwork, the Motion animations, the Logic Pro audio project, the Final Cut Pro library and the Compressor preset.

When do we see your review Tyler? — OP

so you have to rent the programs.

I struggle with the icons. Almost Microsoft-like.

So true. New FCP features look great - Beat Detection, Visual Search and Transcript Search! 🤘🔪🥦

Really miss Aperture

That and a Figma killer.

Nice, I can finally shut down my €750/year CC plan

Photomator also

🔜 👀

I recently installed aperture 3 on a 10.9 machine. That app was ugly as sin, at least in its twilight years. Looked like something adobe put together. Here’s to hoping whatever they do, it’s a return to classic Apple style (even if the icon isn’t).

I can’t comprehend why Photomator isn’t included, they are gonna aperture it.

$179 north of 49

DaVinci Resolve - free, Affinity Studio - free. That's most of this

damn 12.99 not bad compared to adobe

However Affinity and DaVinci Resolve is free, Apple Creator Studio should be free too. Agree both Affinity/Canva and Apple need to release Lightroom contenders ASAP. And, like Lightroom, they should support @Loupedeck+ console (and hopefully a future updated Logitech version).

@Loupedeck Although I don’t like the subscriptions I disagree that just because some software has free versions, all software should be free. Professional tools are worth paying for.

@Loupedeck Mac hardware is not free, we pay with the hardware to access exclusive software. Similar model with Blackmagic, hardware is expensive but you get software free (although they do have a single fee studio tier which however has been free with some hardware).

@Loupedeck Also, Apple pro creative software is not really that "pro" and has been criticized for not updating the software enough to be competitive in the Pro space (both an issue with Final Cut and Logic). With subscription comes much higher expectations.

I think they are also missing a solid vector image editor.

And Sketch.
