No one is in custody at this time. Area Three Detectives are investigating. The injuries are as follows: Victim #1: A 34-year-old male sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was transported to Northwestern Hospital where he was pronounced. Victim #2: A 36-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Northwestern Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. The Orlando Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in Downtown Orlando, resulting in multiple victims. On 11/01/2024, at approximately 1:07 a.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired at Central Blvd. and Orange Ave. Within minutes, a second shooting was witnessed by officers south of Washington Street on Orange Avenue. A total of 8 victims were shot. Tragically, 2 individuals have been pronounced deceased. The remaining 6 victims were transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) in stable condition. The ages of the victims range from 19 to 39-years-old. Shortly after the initial shots were reported, a suspect was located by officers on OPD’s Downtown Detail and taken into custody at Washington St. and Orange Ave. That suspect has been identified as 17-year-old Jaylen Dwayne Edgar, who was previously arrested for Grand Theft in 2023. In light of this tragic incident, the Orlando Police Department would like to remind the community that safety is our top priority. Nearly 100 officers were patrolling Downtown at the time of the shooting, due to the large crowd expected on Halloween. While Chicago police officers were conducting an investigatory stop at the location, a suspect fled into a nearby apartment building, CPD Superintendent Larry Snelling said during a a.m. news conference Friday. The officers pursued the suspect into the building, where they encountered a different suspect who was armed with a rifle, Snelling said. The suspect fired the rifle, and an officer also shot their weapon during the incident. A 36-year-old female officer was shot and was taken to the University of Chicago hospital in a squad car, officials told ABC7. She later died due to her injuries, Snelling said. The deceased officer's name was not yet released. She was with the department for four years at the 6th District and was a mother, Snelling said. West Loop Bar Shooting ... 25-year-old man was found shot in the leg outside PB&J Pizza Beer & Jukebox, near Lake St and Peoria St in the Fulton Market/West Loop area, at approximately 10:38–10:44 PM on December 28, 2025 Officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 200 block of N. Peoria. Upon arrival, officers observed the victim on the ground with a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers applied a tourniquet to the victim’s leg at the scene. The Chicago Fire Department arrived and transported the victim to Northwestern Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition. One shell casing and blood were recovered at the scene. A crime scene was established in front of PB&J. A dark gray Jeep, possibly a Jeep Grand Cherokee, was involved. The shooter was described as a Latino male. The vehicle was last observed northbound on Peoria, with officers believing it later fled southbound. There is no one in custody. Area Three Detectives are investigating. A male is dead and five others are injured after a mass shooting during an ‘illegal car rally’ in Columbia, Maryland this morning 🚨 At around 5:27am today, Howard County Police were called out to the 6700 block of Alexander Bell Drive for a shooting in a parking garage. Officers found an adult male shot, who was pronounced dead on scene. A second victim was found shot in the leg. Four other people self-transported to the hospital over the span of several hours. Everyone who was injured is expected to survive. Investigators remain on scene and are focusing their investigation on a Dodge Charger hellcat and an older model sedan inside of the parking garage.
