Andy Burnham has finally done what the Conservatives said he should do. Make sure that no rapists, paedophiles or violent sexual criminals are released early. He made this decision at the last minute, and the Prison Governors Association say they do not have enough time to implement this properly. I raised this with the then Deputy Prime Minister last month. The Government should have made this decision weeks ago. Only the Conservatives will prioritise the safety of British people and make sure violent sexual criminals serve their full sentences.

His killer, Liam Matthews, had been released from prison that very morning, under Labour’s disgusting early release scheme. Releasing murderers, rapists and paedophiles early is ruining lives. Yet here are Labour’s Home Secretary and Minister of Defence cackling with laughter about it. They find it funny. To them, it’s all a game.
