TLDR: "We have no clue what we are doing, and continue to pretend like we do." "In the mean time, you can't come back home." There I saved you 1 minute of your time.

@KarenLosAngeles Wow a crack that’s not even validated! I’m sure the folks at the evacuation centers are at ease knowing 3 days of thinking outside the box still leads you to no solution

Why are these updates not live, allowing for questions like: 1. What is the current internal temperature of the tanks impacted? 2. Are there any other facilities nearby with explosive materials that would be impacted in the scenario of a leak or an explosion? 3. Is the crack allowing vapor or fluid to escape from the tank? 4. Why didn't you send a qualified engineer in to assess the tanks stability, rather than a firefighter? I hope there is video for experts to examine. The update was sorely inadequate.

Wait a minute, potential double speak here. If there’s a crack relieving pressure, that implies an active spill

what's the temperature? this update tells us next to nothing

Prerecorded bullshit is not adequate at this point. You need to get in front of the press and answer questions.

So this crack essentially is relieving the pressure and the most likely scenario is that the tank just oozes out? Which is the best scenario at this point

Paraphrase... we sent some people in to look. Now we figuring out what to do. Stay tune for an update in 3 days as we still have no idea what we are doing. This concludes today's drill...

So, there possibly may or may not be a crack that might relieve the pressure or cause it to explode. Got it.

Again, this pre-recorded update approach is completely inadequate. There are obvious questions which the public is not getting answers to. People are anxious and frustration is growing while authorities evade directly responding to the public and the press.

@CAgovernor This guy is a shit show. You couldn’t find anyone better to give updates to the public? He can’t even string a coherent sentence together. Just makes up big words trying to sound smart. Come on now.

Hopefully you have all the storm drains plugged up and some septic trucks on stand by to pick up run off. The storm drains go directly into the ocean. No time to play grab ass or politics. Just get it done.

A whole lot of word salad that says nothing

Why would you send in fire fighters and not a robotic device with cameras? Why not use a drone that could get up close? Things really arent adding up here. Something more is going on here...

It took 3 days to get a visual? Also why are you attempting all these activities in the middle of the night with less lighting? Can you not do this via drone. Where was the crack? Did you open the insulation around?

Possible crack in an MMA tank + ‘air quality is fine’ needs more context. Are monitors showing zero vapor, or just levels below emergency thresholds?

Still no contact with the CEO of @GKNAero !? He should be paying for our hotels!!

The non-information update. Nada. Zero.

The current internal polymerization of the MMA into PMMA would seem that it may well have an external crack; but that it may well be sealed up by the PMMA on the inside… How about some actual science-based reporting? We deserve better.

i cant believe we wait hours for an update just for them to say absolutely fucking nothing

A lot of use of the word information without actually giving any information. I feel bad for these firefighters left to handle a mess they didn’t create. I have a gut feeling this is far more serious than they’re letting on hence why these “updates” are so clueless

Better late than never, I suppose. But when to you say there will be more information coming shortly, will you commit to that? When? We haven’t heard from you in twelve hours. Also where’s your PIO? What is he even doing?

Does this end the “there is no leak” narrative?

This is crazy, it sounds like they are battling a giant and had to get special ops to do a recon mission at night while the beast was asleep. Hopefully they can fix it before it explodes.

This is inadequate.

Kind of insane that just turn a camera on and let these guys word salad off the top of their head about a major crisis. 80,000 people evacuated and we’re hearing phrases like “they visualized the tank” from the authorities

Sent firemen to examine the tank. Why not structural engineers? I'm sure One of the guys had a smartphone on him and took videos, can't we see the videos? Why not? What does a chemists say? How hot is it inside?

I’m confused as to why these corps do not have a proper written contingency plans as required when storing or using dangerous chemicals. Is there contingency to rely of Fire Dep for problems? Even bigger question, will the local FD be visiting all sites to verify contingency plan

Why didnt u just send a drone in? Sounds like a waste of resources lol

A crack that's releasing cancer causing chemicals. Not good. 🙏🙏

Where’s the “lot of information” “that’s coming today” “that’s coming shortly”. This site has been SILENT FOR HOURS.

Temperature?????????? Please let us know

If there is crack, are vapors escaping?

If you know this is a disruption give us some god damn information! Why are you giving a noon update on an operation 12 hrs ago! Update it might be cracked it might help it not explode?! Seriously fuck you and the lack of information you should not be in charge of shit

How is finding a crack in the tank a step in the right direction?
