‘Cruel’ That’s how Gordon Brown describes Labour’s two-child benefit cap. Why is he wrong, and Keir Starmer right?

Because people should take responsibility for their own choices.

Politics is dying in this Godforsaken country. We’re heading into our 16th yr of austerity with nothing to show for it but a massive deficit. We pay through the nose for EVERYTHING! It’s time the people saw a return for their investment, not the damn POLITICIANS & MILLIONAIRES!

If you can't afford it - don't do it Simple really - it is not the State's responsibility to pay for your kids

If you can't afford them, don't have them

Why did you cut it in Scotland

Grow up you grandstanding virtue signalling fool. If you can’t afford to bring up your kids… don’t have any! You’re just another grifter set on buying votes from the benefit seekers… you clown.

Why should hard working people pay for other people children,go get a job and if you can’t afford kids don’t have them

better question: Gordon Brown and Keir Starmer are serious politicians Why are you nothing like either of them?

You represent Scotland? Focus on devolved stuff, cheers.

Why should someone who has NO children, or has limited their family to one or two based on their finances, have to fork out for couples who are not sensible enough to work out what they can afford? That is irresponsible.
