Should any players be punished for partaking in this activity? Is all fair in the name of testing? Is Doorman right for wanting to end the game like this, or should he have abandoned?

I’ve had conversations with a lot of youth hockey coaches and program directors that are scared to coach their top players hard and cater to their parents for fear of them leaving the team and organization. At the end of the day, not holding your best players or their parents accountable is such a disservice to the kid. They aren’t learning valuable lessons about effort and accountability that are necessary traits to achieve higher levels in the sport.
