Mantashe is repeating after us. We have always said the 'renewable' is a scam, and no one took us seriously until it is said by people manufactured "renewable" scam conived with western countries to put the country in darkness.

Except he’s wrong. About 40GW capacity in coal, 2GW nuclear, 3GW hydro and gas. They all deliver 22GW at present. Of the 20GW of coal plants out of service, about half is delinquent, requiring major refurbishment. The other 10 is simply breaking down regularly.
