Leavitt: The president has made it quite clear it's his belief, based on fact, that the Cuban regime is bound to fall. The country is obviously in a very weak place, economically speaking the people are crying out for help and the president believes and knows that the Cuban regime wants a deal.

The main argument from Andrew as to why “woke right” doesn’t exist is because “woke left” focuses on equity. Despite many attempts, I was unable to get though to him the fact that replacing “left” with “right” would change the definition of the term entirely. “woke left” does focus on equity, woke right focuses on nationality/supremacy. To summarize: Woke left is where “woke” is the oppressor/oppressed side of the terminology, and “left” is the equity side of the terminology. Woke Right is where “woke” is the oppressor/oppressed side of the terminology and the “right” is nationalism/supremacy. Both sides play victim, and have the same goal. To effect RADICAL change.

Cory Booker blocked passage of my bipartisan bill to rename the street outside of Cuba's embassy in D.C. as “Oswaldo Payá Way," which is designed to confront the Cuban regime with the legacy of Payá, a dissident who they murdered because he advocated freedom. I am saddened by this. My friend from New Jersey had previously voted for this bill. The Senate had previously passed it unanimously. The only thing that has changed is that Donald Trump is President now, and Democrats are committed to complete obstructionism - even on issues of human rights they have previously supported. The hearts of Cuban-Americans in New Jersey and across the country are heavy at the Senator's objection. Meanwhile, the Cuban communist government is cheering.
