If Returnal was too hard and you’re unsure whether you can finish Saros, here’s the clear answer. Yes, you will probably finish Saros. After the second boss, you unlock modifiers that let you adjust the difficulty. You can pick things like dealing more damage or taking less damage, as long as you stay above the minimum limit the game allows. The first two bosses aren’t on Returnal’s level, and with a bit of practice most players get through them. Once modifiers unlock, you can tune the game to your comfort level and actually finish it. I’ve platinumed Returnal myself, and honestly I think Saros handled this perfectly. It keeps both sides happy: the players who want a real challenge and the ones who just want to reach the end :P

SAROS looks like it will have a LOT of quality of life changes fans have been asking for. ▫️ You can quickly teleport directly to any biome that you've unlocked at the start of a run ▫️ You can keep your weapons after dying this time ▫️ In between runs, you can stop at The Passage where you can permanently upgrade your abilities, speak with other crew members, and learn more about the world ▫️ You can enable custom modifiers like adjusting enemy difficulty or removing the Second Chance ability entirely ▫️ Custom modifiers must balance each other out however - easier modifiers must be balanced out with tougher modifiers ▫️ You can activate an Eclipse using a device discovered in the world ▫️ The Eclipse corrupts the world, changing both the world's properties and weapon properties ▫️ The Eclipse also causes enemies to shoot yellow projectiles that reduce your max armor. This can be cleansed with a Power Weapon. ▫️ Releasing April 30th on PS5 and enhanced for PS5 Pro #SAROS #PS5 #Returnal

Played SAROS for a few hours, impressions: - Gameplay is phenomenal, as good as it gets basically for 3rd person shooters - It looks and runs perfectly - Sound design is God tier - They implemented more story than Returnal, more interactions in the hub - You can upgrade stuff permanently which leads to different types of styles - Bosses are awesome - Each run is a lot of fun, this is really COME BACK STRONGER Honestly if you like gameplay games this is for you, this is for sure a game of the year contender without a doubt 🔥
