It’s Friday the 13th at Giga Texas and the only thing “frightening” might be for those coming to compete with the Tesla Cybercab as there were at least a half dozen different Cybercabs driving and testing production processes today. Some were at the factory exit, some near the W EOL facility & Cybertunnel, and others were supercharging, now in groups! To me, this is a great sign that the production line/areas are really getting dialed in, test production is ramping up a bit, & as we’ve seen from other posts, many Cybercabs are out in Austin & many other cities actively testing the Tesla Robotaxi service, getting ready for April!

Cybercabs are multiplying at Giga Texas today, with some driving on the EOL test track, & a great opportunity to see a matte wrapped & production glossy gold versions side by side … great way to see the difference up close! About 40-50 Cybercabs all over the site today, including some testing out the factory exit to the W EOL facility routes, many of the prototypes at the Crash Testing facility today (possibly for recycling) and more! This short video clips show the test driving & comparison between the older and production versions!

Today “only” 32 Cybercabs were on the W side outbound lot, but in 3 different groups, one of which was lined up on the W side of the EOL facility & I captured some of these driving into the facility. I also saw Cybercabs exiting off the main highway & onto the Giga Texas property & driving around the site along with about a dozen at the Crash Testing facility today. I did not see Cybercabs exiting the factory portal today, but it is a Friday which is a normal non-production day, so that was not surprising.

We are just over 50 day s from when initial production is expected to begin. With testing of the Cybercab in multiple states and cities, crash testing & evaluation work already completed, all these castings, & production line run through tests, we are getting very close to seeing many more of these around the factory!

Switchyard expansion footings, concrete & rebar, Cortex 2 facility roofing, interior ground slab concrete & 1st transformer installation. Crash testing facility has 8 covered vehicles along the W side. Lots of big deliveries today at the SW staging yard & at the structural pack area of the main factory! Have a great weekend!
