Cybercab testing this morning at Giga Texas … I saw several testing runs around the factory today, here is a portion of one of these runs. Chase Model 3 is back & LiDAR Model Y cameo too.

Great video. It’s exciting to watch the rollout of the Cybercab. I can imagine that most people will use one of these instead of renting a car in the future.

At the Giga Texas Test Track, we see some of it is being used now, with railed lanes, a long line of rumble strips, paint marks & cones … these are in the area where I showed a ground video yesterday of Cybercabs testing with acceleration runs. I’ve included a portion of that video in this one showing the location on the track. Speaking of Cybercab testing, we see 7 set up along with a trailer, that looks like the LIDAR testing rigs that usually we see on the roofs of vehicles driving around streets for camera validation testing & more in what seems to be a temporary dedicated testing facility until a more permanent one is completed. Still more asphalt work to complete the inner portions fo the track, but it is definitely partially operational now and being used! Very nice to see!

I noticed many Tesla Cybercabs driving without the chase cars today so I thought I’d follow one on a portion of the testing loop here at a Giga Texas … not sure if it’s significant or not, but 1st time I’ve observed this over multiple Cybercabs & long duration of test loop!

More Cybercab action at Giga Texas on this rainy morning! We recently saw 25 on site and now they have been moved for their next use, with 15 at Crash Testing, 4 at the factory exit point and the rest being loaded up on covered transports, possibly headed out to do more Tesla Robotaxi testing ahead of the April official start of production! Others were driving around the site too! Check out this short clip of some of the activity today!

Cybercab entering into the Giga Texas production line exit this morning & we see many more castings have been made … all 3 that are used for the basic structure of the body that is part of the “unboxed” process”. We are just over 50 day s from when initial production is expected to begin. With testing of the Cybercab in multiple states and cities, crash testing & evaluation work already completed, all these castings, & production line run through tests, we are getting very close to seeing many more of these around the factory!

Cybercabs doing heavy testing on the Giga Texas track today, with ~30 Cybercabs doing constant stop-and-go testing along with more lane changes around the large oval. Crews were working on the last segment of the “cobblestone” portion of the inner track for further tests. I also saw a “Cybercab” logo’d variant next to the iconic “Fork in the Road” display on the S end of the factory, while more employee autonomous Cybercab rides were happening all over the site today. In a separate post, I’ll share some images of many newly produced Cybercabs at the E Factory exit and in the outbound lot today! 1 week until the big Cybercab Launch Event!

Fantastic short video clip with a unique view of a Cybercab at the Giga Texas crash testing facility today showing what it looks like under the front hood We can also see what the open door looks like from above too. In total about 12 Cybercabs were at the crash testing facility this morning with several showing some signs of completed on in progress tests. There were also 8 Cybercabs at the outbound lot today, & these appear to be more of the engineering testing versions with blue tape where exterior mirrors could be attached while they are being used for tests around the country.

Employee autonomous Cybercab pickups and drop offs continue around Giga Texas today, and here is just one of many such examples. Watch how the Cybercab decides to do a u-turn on a busy street and then drives off tot he south along the factory and by the flag poles. Very smooth and good to see this new program is working out well. A few other images of Cybercabs around the factory today.
