Cybercab testing this morning at Giga Texas … I saw several testing runs around the factory today, here is a portion of one of these runs. Chase Model 3 is back & LiDAR Model Y cameo too.

Great video. It’s exciting to watch the rollout of the Cybercab. I can imagine that most people will use one of these instead of renting a car in the future.

At the Giga Texas Test Track, we see some of it is being used now, with railed lanes, a long line of rumble strips, paint marks & cones … these are in the area where I showed a ground video yesterday of Cybercabs testing with acceleration runs. I’ve included a portion of that video in this one showing the location on the track. Speaking of Cybercab testing, we see 7 set up along with a trailer, that looks like the LIDAR testing rigs that usually we see on the roofs of vehicles driving around streets for camera validation testing & more in what seems to be a temporary dedicated testing facility until a more permanent one is completed. Still more asphalt work to complete the inner portions fo the track, but it is definitely partially operational now and being used! Very nice to see!

I noticed many Tesla Cybercabs driving without the chase cars today so I thought I’d follow one on a portion of the testing loop here at a Giga Texas … not sure if it’s significant or not, but 1st time I’ve observed this over multiple Cybercabs & long duration of test loop!

More Cybercab action at Giga Texas on this rainy morning! We recently saw 25 on site and now they have been moved for their next use, with 15 at Crash Testing, 4 at the factory exit point and the rest being loaded up on covered transports, possibly headed out to do more Tesla Robotaxi testing ahead of the April official start of production! Cybercab entering into the Giga Texas production line exit this morning & we see many more castings have been made … all 3 that are used for the basic structure of the body that is part of the “unboxed” process”. We are just over 50 day s from when initial production is expected to begin. With testing of the Cybercab in multiple states and cities, crash testing & evaluation work already completed, all these castings, & production line run through tests, we are getting very close to seeing many more of these around the factory!

Looks like Tesla continues testing & more with Cybercabs at the Giga Texas crash testing facility today, with 5 visible under covers and one with then hood and front bumper removed. First good view of the underside of the front hood here too!

Fantastic short video clip with a unique view of a Cybercab at the Giga Texas crash testing facility today showing what it looks like under the front hood We can also see what the open door looks like from above too. In total about 12 Cybercabs were at the crash testing facility this morning with several showing some signs of completed on in progress tests. There were also 8 Cybercabs at the outbound lot today, & these appear to be more of the engineering testing versions with blue tape where exterior mirrors could be attached while they are being used for tests around the country.

More Cybercab action at Giga Texas today, with racing going on around the big oval for the first time I’ve been able to capture it on video! They are also doing a lot of pickup & drop off testing around the main factory, simulating passenger activities likely for the Tesla Robotaxi service.
