ive had my guitar for like 2 years now and i did some light learning but i just cant motivate myself to pick up and seriously learn now despite wanting to play guitar all my life :/

just play one thing every day even if it’s the same thing, just keep the basic muscle memory up, i’ve taken months between playing many times, i just get depressed and drop music entirely. i’ve been playing for 20 years, you can get good or better later, just play every day-ish

yeah its just a depression thing. i drop/dont start a lot of things i've wanted to, it's hard. sometimes i just pick it up and strum like 2 chords then drop it for months again. sigh. i really need to pick it up again
